Exotic are not being sunset YET. However, I am sure they are trying to figure out a way to take them away from us, so they can force us to grind for them all over again.

Id rather regrind for Sleeper again, then have its terrible nerfed version (which was caused by power creep B Y T H E W A Y )
-
Dumbass sleeper was nerfed because of its dps and later gambit invader potential, not BeCaUsE pOwEr CrEeP, i saw haunted explain power creep to you already so no need to repeat it, google the term then realize you have no idea what youre talking about
-
Sunsetting our gear is not going to stop nerfs.
-
Sleeper wouldn’t have been nerfed to prevent it from breaking Opulence. Whisper would still be infinite ammo if it wasn’t able to come into activities past Black armory. Even going back to D1 Touch of Malice wouldn’t be a trash can if it wasn’t allowed to come into wrath. Rather have a weapon unable to progress forward but remain powerful in its era than be brought up and be a shell.
-
I mean at that point it does boil down into personal opinions. I personally like the way Whisper is now, as a precision sustained DPS weapon. I feel like Whipsers place is always valid as a DPS weapon, even if you don't have a god roll alternative. That's where I think exotics should stay, to make sure people have something to fall back on, that can get the job done. Fully expect an exotic sword either this coming season or next to fill the default cover roll of DPS sword. Exotics taking that roll held aleviate potential sunsetting issues as well.
-
Obviously. Sunsetting doesnt mean giving Whisper infinite ammo again. But you can be damn sure there will be less nerfs, when they dont have to worry about the sustained longevity of the game. Recluse couldve been dope forever and sunset a couple of months ago, and stayed dope in non power enabled activities. The problem was that it was supposed to be around forever. That system doesnt work.
-
LOL! You Actually believe that!!!! Okay. Sure. Less Nerfs!!!! HA!
-
They dont even nerf that much now, and most of them were warranted. Most nerfs go to exotics that break the game too much, ie Whsiper infinite ammo, Sleepers bus sized hitbox, Lord of Wolves...doing what it did, ect
-
🤣🤣Your naivete is so precious. I can't stop LOLing🤣🤣
-
Except I'm right. My loadout hasn't changed since nerfs cos it's not needed to, the nerfs are either justified, or not that important. The only gun I don't use is Recluse, and that's because I'm bored of it. The only nerf that's an issue is the blanket nerf to snipers and shotguns, but sunsetting will change that, since mountaintop will finally -blam!-ing die.
-
🤣🤣Stop, you are killing me 🤣🤣
-
Shes an undercover bungie employee
-
Yeah... Keep telling yourself that. Not like they promisse din the past to "do more buffs than nerfs"... Nerfs will happen to EVERYTHING that is popular. It has been like this since D1Y1, will be like this now.
-
Name the recent nerfs to specific weapons. Not damage perks or reload perks, because half of those arent even out, and wont even be a big deal anyway.
-
Not damage perks or reload perks, because half of those arent even out, and wont even be a big deal anyway.
So I guess that "nullifies" the Iza nerf, right?
-
Yeah because Iza was absurd, and everyone knows it. It was a sustained boss killer weapon, when its function is to do the most damage in a single shot. Now both Whisper and Iza have a place in content, despite both being exotic snipers.
-
Editado por Dragunov1987: 6/4/2020 4:56:34 AMExcept that everyone now uses Whisper or Xeno+War Rigs with Divinity. Really rare to see somebody using Iza at all (until last I played, that is). Even for Public Events. Two things "factor" on Bungie nerfs: People crying (as was most of D1) and people "overusing" things, like it was with EP Shotty. That without mentioning the armor nerfs. Edit: Believing that Bungie will "lessen the nerfs" thanks to Sunsetting is, simply put, being naive. If that was a thing, the first "sunset" on D1 would have stopped nerfs. Which wasn't the case.
-
Yeah. Because Whisper and Xeno/Divinity are better at sustained DPS. Izanagi is better at single hit DPS. Whisper gets used in fights with clean precision targets with long damage phases. Xeno gets used in shorter phases with more difficult or non existent precision targets. Izanagi gets used to melt anything with major health, ie Champions. Just because Izanagi isn't being used as the "best DPS weapon", doesn't make it useless, the same way Xeno isn't useless. Xeno isn't optimal DPS but on the right boss it can be. Potential DPS and Utility > Theoretical DPS

Editado por Dragunov1987: 6/4/2020 5:27:28 AMYeeeah... Only that people are using more 1K voices (depending on space), Sleeper and even Xeno to kill Majors/Champions... About It being "useless", well.. Le Monarque isn't useless as well... That doesn't mean that it's popular. As I've said above: believing that Sunsetting will make less nerfs is being naive. This has happened before, and it didn't stop Bungie from being "Nerf Happy". Just Ask Touch of Malice. Or our ammo reserves. Or, I dunno, the ENTIRETY of D2Y1 that introduced the "lovable" dual primary system... Edit: Also, forgot one "teeeny-tiny thing"... When confronted about Exotics being Sunset Cozmo himself answered with these exact words (minus the caps, that's only to draw attention): "There's no plan to have power level limits added to exotics YET." Which probably means that Exotics were, at some time, part of the "Sunset chopblock". They didn't Sunset them (yet) because 1- They wouldn't have the resources or manpower to add a ton of new exotics to the game. Or 2- They wanted to avoid some of the backlash that they're getting right now.
-
Okay and i don't even disagree with sunsetting some exotics. A lot of them don't have a place.
