Out of Season April Fool's Joke?

I'm gonna keep this short cause so many people have already talked about all of this. So just read TWAB kinda made me upset. I then read all the Forum posts talking about Sunsetting being the worst decision ever, and I agree. Honestly, to me, sunsetting sounds like an excuse for Bungie to be lazy with their balancing. Which is incredibly frustrating. Also, infusing weapons for as long as I can remember has been a very important part of Destiny. I just think the concept of sunsetting just needs to be tossed out the window. And tbh, with all the negative feedback, I'm highly expecting the next TWAB to announce they are gonna get rid of the notion of sunsetting. But who knows.

  • Bungie isn’t going to back down on this, because this game is a lame horse that will die in under two years if they DONT do this. This has nothing to do with Bungie being lazy....and everything to do with a BASIC rule of loot game design that Bungie thought they could get away with ignoring I’m a Day One D1 player and when Bungie added what would become infusion during House of Wolves, I was here trying to sound the alarm that it was a mistake that would break the game. ...and that they would be forced to retire our gear, and here we are almost 5 years later. Five years of trying EVERYTHING ELSE BUT what Bungie should have done to begin with. Five years of hard reboots. Blow up vaults. Nerfing meta weapon’s into ground to get power creep under control and to get us to stop using the games most power weapons. Five years later, and two years of incredibly BLAND weapons and basically grinding for the same weapons and weapon rolls over and over again. Before Bungie finally admits defeat and that they have to play by same rules as everyone else. But it isn’t because Bungies lazy. It’s because they finally let go of the arrogance and admitted that it can’t be done. Which is what those in the know were saying to them the whole time, but they wouldn’t listen.
