U have a 15 hour garden clear. Weapons aren't the issue here.

I love the notion that people are spending money in Eververse when they are grossly dissatisfied with the game. Because the game is making money, but the customers are unhappy with the state of the game. I mean does that really make sense when you read it? But hey, they announced a change to Eververse that would have less in the store for people to buy. Put that content instead in the game itself and give us back ways to earn stuff in Eververse. So I guess not only does Bungie hate its customers, they hate our money too?

Nailed it mate. Unfortunately this wont get through to people as the fan boys will lap it up. It's so obvious what's going to happen with the weapons they get rid of as they have done it before. No other looter just gets rid of loot as they innovate, bungie will bring it back later on and probably charge you for it.

well not only are they sun setting our weapons but they're sun setting our $$ as well. Let me preface by saying I'm not a big fan of micro transactions and normally steer clear of them. However w/in the past couple months I could no longer stand the atrocious look of Austringer so I bought the Ornament. $5 cash. I figured how much I've spend playing D1 and D2, thousands of hours, I didn't mind finally spending a couple extra dollars. But now not only will one of my favorite HCs been taken away but I just pissed away $5. Imagine all those people who're spending more money on the legendary ornaments? I mean, at least they're not taking away exotics right Lol. yeah, those $7 ornaments are still good. It's just the $5 ornaments that are being lost. I've made a rant in another thread and probably will again in another but... like I said before and before and before.... All Bungie needs to do is use their brain. That is create weapons with comparable stats. Not everything needs to one up something. Make good looking weapons with stats comparable to some of the fan faves. Those who look every advantage can now have something else to use other than Spare Rations. And who knows, maybe the recoil isn't as bad or it's got a couple extra shots, looks better. But at the end of the day it's got stupid high aim assist (which no weapon should or should've had to begin with) so people are going to cling to it. All this talk about power creep w/o understanding the simple fact that not everything needs to one up. Again, just make weapons comparable to the overused, trusty weapons that the various majority of guardians use. And yeah, by all means throw us a weapon here or there that slightly one ups something. End of the day you're just going to find a reason to nerf it anyway so what's the difference. Speaking of looks/weapon design. I think that's another thing Bungie fails to see. Some of these weapons get ignored because they don't look good. The looks of weapons, for a lot of us, play a pretty good roll in whether or not it's used. There's certainly the exception but if it's a pretty solid weapon with the same or comparable stats and rolls I'll take the better looking one every single day.

The outrage on the forums clearly aren't working, so how about we take it a bit further? I say we not only get #StopPlayingD2 trending on Twitter, but we tweet this hashtag to https://twitter.com/Bungie as well to ensure they see it. And if they still don't want to listen, we start tweeting this hashtag to more outlets, maybe to Jim Sterling, Yongyea, Kotaku, IGN, and other news sources as a way to let others know to stay away from Destiny 2.

i think the worst part is that after sunsetting old gear , all the new gear will just be reskinned old gear with a new expiration date.

Yeah im actually not going to bother purchasing anything from bungie anymore, there are far better things I can spend my money on. New veil Coming? Oh well they can destroy the rest of this game for all I care

Bungie dont want us, they want casual players with wallets. Thats why ur stats were deleted and why ur gear is being made redundant.Yes its to try to push dlc, but Bungie dont want whales logging in and seeing how far behind they r. Sad fact but Bungie have lied before and will again. They dont care and this policy is going to fracture the community

After playing this game since D1 Beta and preordering every release and buying at least 1-3 products from the Bungie store every 6 months this was the final nail. I will not be buying next years content and be sunsetting Destiny as a game in my collection. They don't want to respect our time or opinions I won't respect their game or give them any more money. Luke Smith is the single worst development leader and has killed this game with piss poor decisions and a lack of listening to the masses over the streamers. In the words of the Trailer Park Boys, frig off Bungie.

Bungie’s inability to create new weapons has been in full display for the past year. What makes everyone so sure that once weapons start to sunset that there will be other weapons worthy enough to replace them? Here’s a fact that everyone should be aware of. There are more primary weapons in D1 then there are TOTAL weapons in D2. Once this sun setting takes hold guess which weapons are coming to D2? Sun setting is nothing but a cop-out and shows how inept Bungie truly has become to creating NEW genre inspiring content. The game is F2P and as a result all future content creation and development will remain minimalistic at best.

I´ve deinstalled D2 yesterday and I´m sure many will follow when the sunset starts. Although Destiny has the potential to be fantastic it has to be in the right hands. All this complaining here is useless and so I decided to take back control.
