When over half of Warlock subclasses are straight garbage in PvP, you know you have a problem. All the middle tree and void subclasses on Warlock suck. Well of radiance is a full support super so it kind of gets a pass like ward of dawn, but there's no reason all 3 voidwalker trees should be so bad. Bottom tree void is just entirely inferior to top tree, and top tree is just a worse version of blade barrage. Middle tree voidwalker is by far the worst subclass in the entire game, with one of the worst supers, no unique grenades or melees, and a OHKO ability that kills you just as often as the person you throw it at. Middle tree stormcaller super is just worthless, and bottom tree stormcaller is just a worse top tree.
So that's 6 out of the 9 Warlock subclass trees that range between below average to completely worthless in PvP. The only good subclasses are top and bottom tree dawnblade and top tree stormcaller, and they aren't top tier picks or even great, just good. These 6 garbage classes need some love. Give middle tree voidwalker back some of the strength it used to have in Hand Held supernova and super, give the bottom tree voidwalker super suppression effects or a strong gravitational pull kind of like tether, Make landfall on bottom tree stormcaller WAY better or buff it's neutral game or something. Give chaos reach really really high damage resistance and or a much larger hitbox since you're basically stationary while using it. Just something to make these classes not entirely suck.

and now let's listen to hunters and titans how op top solar is and having 1 viable choice justifies how the rest is so underperforming

In d3 five years from now.

If you look at the facts both the Stormcaller and Nova Warp are the weakest supers going up against the hunter and titan wandering supers. Stormcaller just doesn't have the advantage unless you have the range or the Damage amp active which (takes 5 seconds) feels like forever. They should really decrease that amount of time it takes to amp damage down to 3 seconds since you expend 1/3 of your super doing so without Crown of Tempest. Nova Warp should should ar least OHK other wandering supers, you can only let of one explosion and if it lands you have no time to counter other supers afterwards and the super overall needs a bit more movement speed. Of course not at the level it was at during Forsakens launch, that would be bogus. Either Warlocks have a great super and a terrible neutral game, or a great neutral game and terrible super. Attunment of Flames only redeeming quality is its super but the neutral game is terrible. Attunment of Fissions neutral game is decent at best but even after Nova Warp got buffed this season it still has the same problems from before this season even started. Some people may think that Warlocks are "god-tier", but when your playing on a warlock you have to think about when is a good time to use your slow floaty jump, which gets you killed most of the time if you mess up, deploy your rift in cover and hope someone doesn't kill you with a shotgun in the 2 seconds that it takes to put it down, and pray to the traveler that you can win your melee slap fights because the melee is just slow enough to get you killed. Now pardon me if I sound salty and bitter, but I'm just stating the facts here. You can't always play a warlock the way you would play a titan or hunter. Sometimes playing on a warlock requires you to think like 3 or 4 steps ahead.

It’s more so the player skill than it is the class being bad. I don’t mean to insult or anything but the different classes don’t offer that much of an advantage that a low skilled player could easily defeat a higher skilled one.
-
I mean, just look at our performance in Guardian Games, I don’t think we have a single day/point to our name Among Xbox, PS4 and PC. I could go on an endless rant, but what’s the point? Warlock was never the “popular” class and bungie pandering to those with the loudest voices with some overly harsh nerfs and a lack of buffing in line with the other classes has resulted in a class nobody wants to play. Any warlock worth there salt is probably playing another game.
-
5 RespuestasThere are no bad classes in the game, only bad players, i've seen some warlocks dominate entire matches, as i've seen titans and hunters do the same.
-
17 RespuestasI 100% agree and I’ve been saying this for years, but there are people who will try to convince you that “you’re just bad” and “warlocks are great”. Watch out for “G0lden Hunt3r” and “Insane”, specifically. There are a few others.

6 RespuestasWarlock for me has felt bad for all of D2 in PvP. Probably mostly a me thing though. I just haven’t liked how they handle compared to their D1 brethren. Something just feels very off to me. But I’m not a warlock main. Warlock has always been my alt class.
-
As a Warlock main..... ....don't hold your breath waiting for it.

1 RespuestaHopefully the rift animation is made a lot faster.

It was 18 months ago when Warlock was a viable class in PvP. It's simply shocking. I agree top dawn and Stormcaller are the only options. I did break down just how overwhelmingly biased things are for classes in PvP over 16 months: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/255849316?sort=0&page=0 16 consecutive months! Did the company bother to reply? Well, you can guess.

And Warlock exotics suck

5 RespuestasEditado por lI-3Dot-Il: 5/10/2020 3:23:14 PMUnfortunately, for whatever reason bungie wants to keep warlocks weak. From subclass design (looking at you pulse wave) Slower melee then other class (what's the point of additional range if I can get clapped 2x and die in the time it takes me to clap them once), Useless exotics (stag, brow and vesper to name a few) Exotics that still haven't been fixed(astrocyte, felwinter and winters guile) Lack of synergistic class tree with the exception of bottom tree void. But, yea. When hunters see this thread it will get down voted to hell. Also, people wonder why warlocks are least used? Well it's because anytime we get something that makes us stand out, the rest of the community gets it nerfed as suddenly a warlock can become more lethal then they are used to and therefore deemed 'OP'. Looking at you specifically nova warp. I wish it never existed. Terrible now. Edit: spelling.
-
nova bomb super is lacking too much, but i like the rest of the subclass.

6 RespuestasMeanwhile peolle who know how to use warlock do very good with it.

1 RespuestaYou are very much wrong Bottom tree dawnblade is nowhere near viable Its literally a super, and some slight explosions. In mayhem, it has its uses, but investing all your time into something that can be shut down easily, and is neutered if you want any sort of consistency in your neutral game? That's a big no in pvp I always had an image for Chaos Reach, where you could teleport into a different location, and then readjust the beam. Gives it more mobility, while looking super cool. The only problem is death by architects, and consoles not being able to adjust in time for a kill All in all, we have a total of 2 balanced trees for pvp. Everything else just...exists
-
4 RespuestasYou're a hot garbage warlock if you think bottom tree voidwalker is a bad subclass.
-
They just arent objectively the worst though
-
1 RespuestaGreat Just one thing to add: Exos .. Titan and hunter have so many powerfull exos But warlocks? Nothing that would let me say: „Wow what a useful pvp exo“ Really NOTHING It‘s annoying
-
Agree, made a post like a week ago with some ideas to buff voidwalker but as always warlock buff post don’t go to far. Here is the link if you’d like to take a look: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/255891172/0/0

Chaos Reach is way too weak against other supers. You would think a giant arc laser beam would disintegrate an enemy within a millisecond but no, chaos reach does around 40-50 damage per tick against supers which is insane! And considering how slow the aiming is on console and how fast most super move, it’s almost impossible to kill on that’s in motion.
-
2 RespuestasI don't mind being the worst PvP class, as long as we can dominate PvE. It's apparent that bungo stopped caring a long time ago anyway.
-
If this even going on proves anything, it is that warlocks have had it baaaaaad in d2.
