Listen to all the braindead trolls on this thread that are happy to do mindless busywork dealing with garbage blue items. Collectively the D2 player base has probably spent a couple of THOUSAND man-YEARS holding down a button to delete excessive blue diarrhea for no real good reason other than Bungie not having respect or consideration for their customer's time. WHY would anyone argue against a no-brainer QoL improvement?

  • Because the QoL is called Destiny Item Manager, or DIM for short. The QoL is not having to fly to the tower at all, and being able to pull the items to you wherever you are.

  • You still have to manually hold down a button dozens of times a day. Not sure why everyone wants to argue in favor of drudgery when SIMPLE programming could reduce that.

  • OP is complaining about having to fly to the tower, and his postmaster filling up with blues. One of these is fixed with common sense (delete your crap during load screens, you have nothing else to do anyway), and the other is fixed with an app, which also helps with the first point. As long as people continue to use blues and even greens in the crucible (and yes they do), auto-delete won't be a thing.

  • I'm seriously asking here, do you understand that I actually calculated a rational estimate and over the course of D2, people have likely (cumulatively) spent THOUSANDS of YEARS deleting blue engrams? Batshit insane. It's shitty busywork. Indefensible. So sorry little Timmy wants to run one blue piece of armor in Crucible for casual PvP. Glad the game can revolve around the tiny portion of the player base that does that. Bungie could still make a toggle on/off for autodelete.

And we also spent thousands of years (exaggeration, but still similar) donating Fractaline last season. You're delusional if you think Bungie is going to listen to this. Just accept it and use the alternatives provided.

  •
And we also spent thousands of years (exaggeration, but still similar) donating Fractaline last season.
Because we CHOSE to... and we got gear we actually wanted and XP out of it. Terrible counter-example. You're delusional if you think you have any more control over what Bungie does than I do. And it's ridiculous that you bother to argue about it especially if it's a dead topic. Doesn't matter the reasons, it would be overwhelmingly positive if it were implemented. Thanks for playing the ACKSHUALLY game!

Don't pretend like the amount of time you needed to hold the donate button was just accepted. There was a MASSIVE amount of backlash and complaining about it. That makes it the best counter. Don't put words in my mouth. It invalidates everything else you say. I never claimed I had any control of what Bungie does. It is indeed ridiculous that you bother to argue about a dead topic. Given your toxic and offensive behaviour in literally every other topic and post you've made here though, it's safe to say that you don't quite reach a level of intelligence necessary to have mature discussions.
Don't pretend like the amount of time you needed to hold the donate button was just accepted. There was a MASSIVE amount of backlash and complaining about it. That makes it the best counter.
NOPE. Players actively chose to participate despite their complaints. They were free to donate as little or as much fractaline as they wanted, stopping at any time. The personal contribution to "finish" the content was minuscule. You don't have the "option" to "not" deal with blues unless you just want to let your inventory overflow and everything steadily fall out of the postmaster... and then what's the point of even playing? I can't play a 10-minute strike without getting 5-10 blues. HOWEVER, Bungie could have EASILY made the donate timer 1 second instead of 4. Or donate 400 at a time instead of 100. So their failure to design the game conscientiously is similar at least.
It is indeed ridiculous that you bother to argue about a dead topic.
I'm sorry that you don't appreciate the nuance of advocating for something (with only even a tiny chance of success) vs pointless compulsive contrarianism.

A very small amount of players, mostly content creators and people chasing weapon rolls, actively chose to participate. A ton of people had already quit playing the season, or didn't bother donating. Get your facts straight. You have the option to delete the blues when you cannot physically do anything else, aka load screens. This does not harm, hinder, or deter you in any capacity. But keep lying about how many blues a strike drops. I'm sure we'll all believe you. You declared the topic to be dead, not me. I'm sorry you can't appreciate people giving you legit and perfectly working solutions.

I'm confused... you just said they did donate... a lot...
But keep lying about how many blues a strike drops. I'm sure we'll all believe you.
What a dumb comment. You 110% get 3 blues at the end. You think in a long strike with lots of enemies like Garden World or Hallowed Lair, there aren't EVER times where another 4-5+ drop? You're pretty much guaranteed to get an extra 2-3 at least. You sure picked a weird hill to die on. Contrarianism is a helluva drug...
You declared the topic to be dead, not me. I'm sorry you can't appreciate people giving you legit and perfectly working solutions.
I made fun of you for implying that it was dead and pointed out that it's even more silly to argue for the "supposed," (I used quotation marks so it's crystal clear this time that I am not agreeing with YOUR implication) unalterable, status quo. Why does the status quo need to be defended by you if it won't change? Hmmmmmm? I have solutions. It's not a complicated problem. Using stopgap measures to live with bad game design doesn't fix the bad game design though. You know good and well that you're being completely disingenuous when you suggest that you're trying to "help" or that you're disseminating "useful" information. Anything else?

Yes, I clearly said "everyone" quit. Yes, that's clearly 5-10 blues. Yes, I clearly implied it was dead. How long did it take you to Google all of those words? Let's see, you took nearly 15 minutes to reply. Couldn't make it any more obvious. Bungie. Will. Not. Fix. Their. Bad. Game. Design. Do you get it now? Do you understand that you have no choice but to use the alternative solutions, regardless of any ideas good or bad you might ever conjure up? Do you get it now? Do you?
Yes, I clearly said "everyone" quit.
Obsessing over imprecise language is a pretty clear sign you have little of worth to say. (You can just stop if that's the case. It's "ok.")
Yes, that's clearly 5-10 blues.
Not sure if sarcasm? 10 would be an exceptional upper bound but possible. That's why I gave a range...
Yes, I clearly implied it was dead.
The "topic" just to be clear. Still not sure if sarcasm. You kind of really did tho.........................
How long did it take you to Google all of those words? Let's see, you took nearly 15 minutes to reply. Couldn't make it any more obvious.
So you have stooped so low now that you're going to whine about my (correct) word usage and how long it took me to reply? Didn't know it was a race or there was a timer. I read a lot. I don't have to make an effort to use big words. Sorry if you do. If anything, I typically "dumb myself down" a lot of the time. My bad for giving you the benefit of the doubt that you were anything more than a normal forum bottom-dweller.
Bungie. Will. Not. Fix. Their. Bad. Game. Design. Do you get it now? Funny that you want to talk about "get it" when the point I have made about the non-symmetrical nature of me asking for something vs you just being negative has sailed over your head at least a couple of times right now. Anything else? PS: I willfully refrained from using perspicacity. OOPS, guess I didn't after all. PPS: I reread my comment. You SERIOUSLY have a vocabulary issue with the 3-4 "big" (sort-of) uncommon words I unthinkingly used?

  • So when the next season/dlc or what ever they will call it and you need blues to level you are SOL then, yeah not to smart there buddy. Besides if you are on console you have plenty of time while loading into any activity, and between activities, to dismantle unwanted items.Takes a few seconds and you are not doing anything anyways in that time. Plus you don't need to have each of your characters slots full,if you do you are not the brightest bulb in the package by a long ways.

Well, speaking of braindead trolls, looks like I summoned one!
So when the next season/dlc or what ever they will call it and you need blues to level you are SOL then, yeah not to smart there buddy.
I don't need blues to level. I have 10000-ish of BOTH Vanguard AND Crucible tokens. Also, you only "need" blues for maybe 1 (cumulative) week out of the entire YEAR. Also, maybe fix the leveling system so we don't have to be bombarded with garbage that has almost zero actual utility on a day to day basis.
Besides if you are on console you have plenty of time while loading into any activity, and between activities, to dismantle unwanted items.Takes a few seconds and you are not doing anything anyways in that time.
I have an SSD and a PS4 PRO. I STILL don't want to manually hold down a button 50 times a day, one-by-one for no reason other than poor game design anyway.
Plus you don't need to have each of your characters slots full,if you do you are not the brightest bulb in the package by a long ways.
Says the potato who STILL showed up to uselessly argue against his own self-interest even when I predicted you and made fun of you in ADVANCE. DERP! I have no problem "managing" my inventory.

I STILL don't want to manually hold down a button 50 times a day, one-by-one for no reason other than poor game design anyway.

Thanks for playing fella!

  • You should be able to toggle the ability to auto-dismantle blues. That way, you can get the next blues that are meant to increase your power level. Why are you calling other people stupid when the solution is still so obvious?

  • I like how when presented with something logical that counters your logical argument, you resort to this pathetic excuse of an argument instead of acknowledging that the idea proposed to you is a good QoL idea, that should be implemented when Bungie can spare the time to do so. I worry for the bigger things in your life if you cant handle being wrong on such a small thing. Have a good day.
