The message of finding a better match simply means it is throwing everyone back into the matchmaking queue. Once in the queue, the same matchmaking that created the last match is what is still making the next match you get. There is no flag to say you had a really bad match so I'm going to give you a really good match. It is basically a bit of randomness of what type of matches you get. Some will be blowouts either in or against you, others will be very close matches. Another thing that can happen after a team breakup is that the next match you very well could get many of the same players. Again, the breaking up teams doesn't flag people to not play against or with each other, it just throws you back into the queue instead of automatically carrying everyone to the next match.
