Its a simple thing to explain and there are plenty of people who say “It should be just like how i was in D1” and “its endgame so of course it should be enabled”.
Destiny 1 and 2s power systems are completely different since in D1 it was easy to hot max power so in turn it was easy for PvP players to hit max but the same CAN NOT be said about D2 especially since only 1 PvP mode can drop pinnacles and it is power enabled giving PvE players a bigger edge in the mode. PvE players can easily wreck in any mode thats power enabled due to power leveling something no PvP player can do. Its simply not a balanced mode in general when power is on.
Those players simply don’t understand what PVP is its not a mode for PvE players to go into and use there weapons that are higher power level to annihilate any PvP player who is lower (which is the case for alot of PvP players since there isnt enough ways to raise power in PvP)
It does not matter if its called PvP endgame that simply means its were the most skilled players meet to get pinnacle PVP gear.
I mean its such a stupid argument that it’s annoying at this point to see so many PvE players banding together to instantly hate on PVP players who think it should be disabled.

1 RespuestaWell if you play through the game, get your powerful engrams and don't stress about trying to max out your light in one week, you'd realize how trivial of an issue it is. Mostly because light level is a minor advantage at best. If you insist you are a good and better PvP player than a PvE player, than it does not matter once the only advantage they have over you is just 10 light levels. Trust me, you want to know how truely disadvantages light levels can be? Try the Atlas Unbound triumph. 100 light level disadvantage. Back when Mag Howl could 1 tap you with that disadvantage. Yeah, it could be 1 shot body shot by an adaptive frame sniper level of bad. 3 hits using a sentinel, arc strider, striker or spectral to kill another person. But once it comes down to it, 10 light levels is child's play. I did the 2500 kills with Iron Burden, and then some. That was hard, but you come out a better player. Don't stress about the no lifers man. Give or take a few more weeks, and they'll crawl back into the hole they came from. 10 light levels is an ant compared to 100.

15 RespuestasYou’re 970 lmao 😆 git gud? I went flawless at 959 playing against light level 1000+ pve warriors.

24 RespuestasThey could disable power today and most of you still wouldn't go flawless.

16 RespuestasEditado por IAGNRG: 3/15/2020 3:56:39 PMDid you not read the part where they said it’ll be based off of base power levels and not artifact levels or are you just here to fuel the forum fires. Another point, this is an mmo game, where you grind for gear and use it competitively. Where do you get off trying to get around that

So, you are saying that you want to stomp on people in PVP without needing to grind or level up. That is to say, you want to remain a mediocre player but want to pretend to play like a god. OTOH, if you are a skilled PVP player, then no casual PVE player who grinds out levels/power should be able to put much of a challenge. Besides, power level doesn't make nearly as much difference as some people think. Trust me. Almost always, those who had trouble with higher light level players were simply not playing very good PVP tactics (well, not the best tactics). Improve your game and quit complaining about power/light level. FYI, Iron Banner and Trials are the culmination of the ENTIRE game...PVP AND PVE. That means that THOSE WHO DO BOTH PVP AND PVE will get the most advantage in IB or Trials. If you don't like that then stick to Quickplay/Control...or stick to PVE...whichever you prefer. FYI, a more pressing issue in PVP is not power/light level but CONTROLLER ASSIST. Just remove controller aim assist from the ENTIRE game and 99% of PVP issues will be solved overnight. Yeah, that goes for consoles too. Back in the day, more people had consoles than they did PCs. Today, more people have PCs than they do consoles, so it is much easier for console users to go grab their keyboard and mouse and have a go at it. FYI 2: I wouldn't be surprised that the higher power level players you are having issues with is NOT due to the light level but due to their use of controllers...that aim assist that they get can melt you no matter what your light level...but then there is also hacking/cheating going on, so don't forget about that.

They said that it will be. They also said it wouldn't be ready to happen this first weekend. Patience padawan.

1 RespuestaI work a full time job too, but I am not aout to -blam!- about people that may have time to actually play the game, for whatever reason, if they have a life or not. Your skill should get you wins, not -blam!- for Bungie to put what is supposed to be an obviously difficult activity, on easy mode. I will never understand why casuals will play a game that is structured the way Destiny 2 is, and then complain they have no time to play or progress as they would like. Play a more casual friendly game that will hold your damn hand and give you your wins. Like I said, I work as well, but I am under no damn illusion that Bungie should change the game for people who admit themselves, they have no time for the game. Enjoy your family and job, or whatever, but quit the damn whining already because the game wasn't made around your schedule or to suit you personally. And to the people, going off in the forums about trials because thay aren't good enough to win or go Flawless, STF up, get better, or uninstall the damn game. This crying for the game to hand you everything is -blam!-ing ridiculous.

Editado por Poke: 3/16/2020 12:46:45 AMjust an fyi comp is the easiest way to get power you get a powerful per sub rank up and full rank up until 2100 and past that you get a powerful per full rank up and trials is about singling out the best of the best guardians not just the stans that play pvp
-
"prove your the best of the best by NOT being the best you can be!" yes, makes perfect sense. you know that the artifact power will be disabled soon, right? that means that there will be a cap and in no time at all, even Stumps McPotatoe will become 1000 light, essentially creating an even playing field. what you want WILL happen naturally, eventually, so just calm your tits and find something productive to complain about.

1 RespuestaI’ve seen the true pvp players in this game and they stay up to light just fine and would shit down any “pve” players throat if they came into the crucible with highlight and no skill or strategy to back it up
-
9 RespuestasHaving power level enabled helps keep cheaters out. Without it, cheaters who get banned would just start a new account, and jump right back in it. I am all for it. I would support light level enabled for all pvp modes. Pve players dont seem to mind getting their asses kicked around a bit while leveling up, so there is no reason pvp players couldnt humbly endure the same. There is no penalty for losing, that cant be recovered once higher light is achieved. Having a little humility goes a long way.

1 Respuestathey're disabling the artifact starting next week. The regular power grind is fine. Just do your weekly powerful stuff and a few pinnacles for a 2/3 weeks and you'll be fine. its a 3 month season yo.

Thank you, i had to carry some people in trials, we played 8 games lost every one got t-bagged by people who were 1000 power. Im around 965 yet i played the game for 3 years now, pvp doesnt drop power upgrades enough. This game is grind for power, i should've done raids to help with that. I don't suck at pvp but people gang up on me and send me trash texts saying i suck. This community is so toxic. I just want my trials hunter armor some guns and that's good but wait... i need a freaking win streak of 3 to open an engram from saint.

8 RespuestasEditado por DredLaP: 3/15/2020 3:40:58 PMYes, it should, and it will be. They just need time to explain why to the slow and weak minded.

1 RespuestaImagine being a pvp player that constantly asks for trials to come back. Bungie dedicates an entire season to pvp. Then imagine being that same pvp player and complaining about pve.
-
3 RespuestasLight Level shouldn’t be enabled for Trials. It’s supposed to be about skill, not about whoever keeps grinding the most. Light Level should be enabled for Iron Banner. It’s 1 week a month, and it’s more focused on playing the objective (if only people could f***ing realize that).
-
Editado por Swiftchao: 3/16/2020 4:11:17 AMPvP shouldn't have power enabled at all imo it restricts weapon options to what you have infused and pvp players who don't like or can't spend time grinding pve (they already have to play pve/gambit in order to get guns for pvp) are forced to grind such activities in order to not have a disadvantage in the game
-
Don’t understand why it isn’t disabled... it’s PvP.. it has absolutely nothing to do with how high your light is.. how many nightfalls and raids you’ve completed, how many hours you no lifed the game.. It has everything to do with pure gun skill and tactical teamwork. Just the other day a guy slide right into the barrel of my shotgun, literally warlock visor touching the barrel of my gun.. I pull the trigger and get a hit marker then melee him an it does nothing.. he turns around an takes out his devils ruin an beams me instantly winning the round what’s the point?? This shit is a clown show.. You’ve got 1010 plus light scrubs intentionally teaming up an spraying the walls with broken hard light.. to get double Damage. People going flawless within 30 min lol shit isn’t skill based
-
I'd like pvp to avoid gimmicks but I don't see it happening this isn't a skill based game after all its a gear based one I'm just glad the cap is so close imagine if it was 1200 and the last 200 was raid exclusive so its more of have friends and you win
-
2 RespuestasI know trials in D1 was power enabled, but that never really made sense to me. Trials should be testing your team skill against the best. If anything it should be no power advantage, no seasonal mods. Possibly even other restrictions. It should be everyone on an even playing field so it’s a true test of skill. But then again, I’ll never play it, so whatever. The rest of the game is awful now anyway.

Well said

2 RespuestasAgreed. Bungie said they want it to be fair and balanced. I’m 980 going up against 1010-1020 level players. I do like 60 damage with a spare rations requiring 4 headshots. The enemy does 80 to the head with a spare rations giving them a 2 head 1 body. Even if the lower light level player was more skilled then will lose simply because of the TTK difference. There should be a minimum level to enter trials but the actual gameplay should not use light level.
-
2 RespuestasAgreed. How much you can grind the game, should not determine how powerful you are in trials. Sorry I have a full time job and other stuff I need to do...guess I won't play trials till next month...
