Auto rifles are finally perfect where they are at. Leave them alone.
I'd rather get shot down by an auto rifle 100 times in a row than get killed by a jotun once.
Edit: After reading your posts (and at least 7 hours of trials) I'll agree that Hardlight is the outlier here.

You're -blam!- and don't deserve to play this game if you think auto rifles should stay where they are at they need to be bumped by 30% so that people who worked for weapons can use them rather than get crapped on by someone who picked up and adaptive frame AR off of the ground

ARs in general are in a good spot right now. Hard Light might need to be dialed back a smidge. Perhaps the damage on the ricochet rounds should be lower?

The only nerf i can see hard light getting is a mag nerf. 49 bullets is but oppressive for how long you have to wait just to even walk in a hallway

18 RespuestasHere's where I stand I want autos to be good but not this good. However the issue is that Bungie barely even touched them and they went from eh to god tier. That's not good. No in between means they're just flawed and now the sandbox has to work around auto rifles instead of being able to actually tune them individually. Hard Light, Suros, and a couple other guns are too potent and Im sorry but you really can't deny that. They consistently can beat out machine guns, Not Forgotten, and make using Recluse a bad idea. That's not a good meta. But then again we don't want these other things to be too potent either. Here's what I say. Give hand cannons their 2-1 back from D1. Make scout rifles a little easier to handle across the board. Put a cap on Hard Light's perk for damage falloff (you still wont get damage falloff but after like 30 meters then it turns off but gradually. Damage doesn't falloff more than like 10%. That way its enough but still keeps Hard Light unique.) Not many other things I can really think of outside of this honestly. Oh no wait, actually properly balance Last Word, not murder it. Last Word 100% needed to be fixed but you guys went a bit overboard, undoing a little of that damage might help with our current auto rifle situation. TL;DR In short, autos are too powerful but can't be nerfed so other things need to come to their level to a certain degree and autos generally need some limitations to what they can do (mainly Hard Light)

They went overboard with it. TTK on auto rifles is now less than machine guns. They’ll be nerfed a bit soon.

I’m fine with most of them but hardlight could use some adjusting. The non damage fall off is super annoying against a whole team using it.

Can’t do much to hard light. If you do then the next problem will be suros or monte carlo.

And they make long-range precision weapons (scout/sniper/pulse) harder to use because of the amount of flinch they are able to cost. What's really depressing is that, they can't seem to make a proper buff/nerf at all with the weapons this season. I'm fine with nerfing TLW. But nerfing its effective range when ADS to the ground is just not the way to do it.
