what pray tell happens if the gear you need for Trials is noticeably inferior to OG "expired" metas so if you want to get Legend in comp you need to ditch the new Trials gear? Bungie probably pumps out at least as many lemons as they do good new meta guns so it's not outside of the realm of possibility that the Trials gear everyone earns for going flawless will be destroyed by an OG meta in regular crucible. And that'll be fun fireworks when the gear reset backfires when the new gear is usable in only 10% of the game.
