I don't see how my post towards the OP wasn't decent. It did have a bit of a quip in it sure. But it was relatively mundane and my overall response was rather neutral. Even If I was literally flaming the guy that doesn't mean your provoked response is justified. Getting down in the dirt with someone else just makes you as bad as the person. You're right though. I haven't looked around at other suggestions besides OP's. And i'm sorry but the whole "respect is earned" is a dated mindset that comes from my gran's era. I grew up with the belief that you treat everyone decently. That we're equals. I give everyone I meet the same level of respect I give my friends and family. I'm not demanding you to respect me. Just pointing out the irony of slamming me for behavior i've supposedly shown. But you're being just as crude. It just doesn't make sense to me. Also, just because I agree with somethings Bungie does and just because I understand Bungie's position doesn't mean i'm blindly defending in blanket form. I both understand and recognize that the current approach they're going to take isn't the best or the most ideal. But I also am not inherently against it. Frankly the fact that you're writing me off just because i'm not standing here being angry along side you and others is just defeatist of your entire perspective for me. It SOUNDS like you are an intelligent individual capable of accepting multiple perspectives. But you're basically not allowing me to have mine simply by stating "oh well you're defending Bungie so, you're scum." Again I could care less how you feel about me specifically. I just don't believe you've the right to down talk to me about being close minded yet you're basically promoting said behavior. I apologize that I will not comment on most of what you've written here. But do know that I have read all of it. I do understand the overall feeling of the game becoming a chore. I understand just wanting to be able to plop down in front of a game to unwind and get away from life's woes. I too also think fondly back on times when games were just that for me. Instead of being a way of life. Instead of feeling like another job. I just don't think Destiny has fully done that. Unlike other games as a service model games these days. It deffinitely has elements to it that are found in other games like it. But I still feel like Bungie is trying to find Destiny's core. It's solid foundation. I'm not disagreeing with your overarching perspective on Destiny per se. Merely stating I see it differently. If I were to name a game that sounds a lot like what you have issues with i'd have to say Warframe is far more guilty of your problems than Destiny. But your feelings of D2 are not entirely unfounded. It's more i'm keeping my mind open towards the devs issues/plights. And i'm more willing to accept the approach of "lets huck stuff at this wall until we see what sticks." Perhaps the solutions the devs are proposing are truly awful and i'm just not seeing it yet. But I read Smith's development diary. And I agree with the fundemental issues he outlined about the game. So if they think these steps might be a decent way to start fixing the problems i'm willing to try them. If you have to think of me negatively for being more accepting to what they say then do as you wish. I just don't see the need to be so hostile over a simple disagreement of opinions.
