[i]You continue down the tunnel and come across a lava pit. It seems to be the cause of the orange light. There are 2 droids on the other side of the pit that are examining the area. They don’t seem to notice you. You find one shiny object on the wall near the droids.[/i]

I get to a safe distance and pull out my DC-17m in its sniper attachment. I use the scope to get a better look at the shiny object.

[i]You take a closer look at the shiny object. It appears to be some sort of diamond, glistening in the light of the lava.[/i]

I move my crosshairs over to one of the droids not in line of sight of the other and take a shot at him.

[i]You hit one of the droids straight in the head. It begins emitting a ringing sound. The other droid becomes alerted and turns towards you.[/i] [b]Droid:[/b] “Warning: Hostile entity detected. Commencing defense procedures until the remaining units of Research Squadron #294 arrive.” [i]The droid pulls out its blaster and begins moving while shooting at you.[/i]

I begin shooting the other droid and throw a smoke grenade for cover

[i]The droid dodges your shots as its shots miss you through the smoke. The droid begins wall running over the lava pit to get a closer shot.[/i]

I shoot the rock wall just in front of him

[i]Your shot causes the droid to fall in the pit of lava. It loses its blaster, but it continues to slowly swim in the lava towards you as it begins to melt.[/i]

I continue firing at it.

[i]Your shots hit the droid and the lava splashes. The droid eventually drowns in the pit of orange liquid. The ringing from the other droid persists.[/i]

I shoot it again, careful to maintain a distance

[i]You once again shoot the ringing robot as it lies on the floor. After the shot, the ringing stops and the sound of the bubbling lava is the only thing that is heard.[/i]

I examine the body (corpse? Chassis?)

[i]You make your way to the droid and inspect the remains. Inside of its broken chassis, you see a faint blue glow beneath the wiring.[/i]

I cut open the wiring and extract the object

[i]You extract the object from the fallen droid. It appears to be a blue gem. It turns to black once you remove it from the droids system.[/i]

“Must be a power source of some sort. I should bring this back to alignment.” I do a quick check to see if there are any more paths before heading back

[i]There don’t seem to be any different paths around. The only thing of interest that remains is the shining diamond in the wall. [/i]

I take a closer look at the diamond

[i]You examine the diamond in the wall. It appears to be quite small compared to the gems you have collected. The light from the lava causes it to refract many colors.[/i]

I take it

[i]You extract the diamond. It takes time, but you get it in one piece.[/i]
