I have to say everything was better. I wasn’t bored for a second, even tho I’ve played thousands of hours on D1 the strikes were more fun, I felt powerful, the weapons OMG so much fun. If your a D1 veteran and have loaded it up in a while try it today it’s worth it.

As much as I preferred D1 over D2, I can firmly say that both have huge flaws that can’t be avoided. For example: -D2 has more content to grind, but they feel like a reskinned menagerie, which give ok-ish weapons. D1 had less content to grind, but in a way they were “original” to say the least. -D1 Y3 (cant say about Y2 and Y1 because I wasn’t there) felt like it had a more balanced PvP than D2 Y3, but ofc it lacked the special ammo after respawn. The “140” HCs were dominant (like Palindrome and Eyasluna), while 150s were mediocre at best (Exile’s Student for example). Shotguns had far less range than in D2, which felt a bit balanced. -D1 focused more around raids (which is why Age of Triumph existed), while D2 focuses more on the master nightfalls -D1 strikes were fun in general. D2 strikes are longer and can even be tedious (Hollowed Lair). D1 Iron Banner was lit. D2 Iron Banner feels beyond doodoo and unrewarding at best (since there’s no reason to do it besides high power gear). And let’s not get started with being forced to do a quest in order to reclaim packages. -D1 had better sparrow usage, like SRL and horn customization. D2 has better looking sparrows, but no other usage other than moving around in PvE (no SRL). -D1 eververse was full of gambling, since the packages didn’t give a specific thing; it was full of RNG. D2 has specific thing to buy, but most of the good (if not all) ornaments are locked behind a paywall. -In terms of ornaments, D1 hands down had better looking ornaments (Age of Triumph). D2 ornaments are really lacking. -D1 had far less build options, which didn’t give it a huge RPG touch. D2 has better build options, which lead to some broken builds. And I could keep going but I’m too lazy to compare the flaws of both games

D1 Pros: Less than 30 seconds to the tower, have a super 1 minute into an activity, grenades charge up twice as fast, movement speed is fast, character can absorb more damage. You can go to locations like the Iron Temple, Venus, Dreadnaught, Cosmodrome, Plaguelands. Weapons like Dark Drinker, Raze Lighter, Bolt Caster, Hawkmoon, Imago Loop, Fatebringer, Bex Mythoclast, Gjallerhorn, Red Death, D1 Cons: No mantle, no fast travel, no fast summoning sparrows

1 RespuestaD1 + mantling = jackpot

This...did same few weeks back. And instant space magic feelings at title screen. My opinion Destiny 2 more feeling like starting the franchise.. While destiny needed to be the sequel.
both games having ups and downs, but for me Destiny was more fun
1 RespuestaI play it every now and then. I'm amazed by the warp speed now. It actually seems like we are moving. The strikes are fun. I really miss the strike intros while flying in. Crucible is still fun and has plenty of players in PS4 still. But the thing I miss the most is
sparrow horns
-
I know. When I get bored of Destiny 2 I go back to Destiny 1 back the game was good and the strikes were unique.

3 RespuestasEditado por TarloDenn: 2/8/2020 2:34:05 AMMantle.. that's about all it's missing 👍 Strikes are way more sweaty too if ya get crazy modifiers.. Omnigul avec Arc anyone 😰😭😂

19 RespuestasObvious lies are obvious. D2 is much better in many ways.
-
Things are just so much more consistant on D1. Like shots from a handcannon actually kill an acolyte in 1 shot! the only thing I'm missing is the mantle. But D1 is perfect, and I wouldnt have it any other way
-
I miss a lot about d1. Once I finish the season in d2, I’ll prolly go wreck archon forge with Telesto for old time sake. I really miss scouts actually popping heads in a single shot for one thing. Now thralls and dregs are like the only things you can one shot with high impact scouts...

It’s fun for nostalgia but it ain’t better. lol
-
Is this the obligatory monthly installment of 'so I loggedon D1'
-
You could say this about almost anything you haven’t done in a while.
-
Did that recently.. Was immediately bored and swapped back to d2 grinding the lectern and obelisk weapons
-
Nostalgia and the fact that you had not played for a long time. You d say the say thing if it was the other way around

I'm going to say that we are much more tanky in D2, and weapon damage feels about the same in both games. Aside from not having ledge mantle, and infinite sprint, I still like D1. I just don't think it's the golden era everyone says it is.

It's nice to go back now and again, but you wouldn't want to live there kind of thing. It's nice to go back to the old neighborhood and play for a while, but remembering that no new events or loot will be showing up kind of leaves me wanting more. So like I said, nice to visit....just wouldn't want to live there anymore.

3 RespuestasMore powerful? Sure the modifiers in strikes were better but try hopping into a nightfall you get melted like butter even though you're high enough light.

I’ve got the fate bringer imago on my ps4 and all of my adept weapons in Xbox, not sure which platform to choose from.

6 RespuestasEditado por Howiepenguin: 2/8/2020 12:10:13 AMConvinced a D2 only player that never touched D1 to buy the collector's edition with the promise that I'd play with him when he got on. It was a mistake to go back...cause now I can't seem to want to play D2 solo anymore...only when a clanmate wants to do something will I hop back on any other time I find myself jumping back over there on a fresh character. Edit: Also, he is now seeing why people liked D1 over D2 since the first had more MMO aspects than looter shooter like D2

1 RespuestaSurprising part. Always seeing new guardians. And I mean actually new, usually sub 900 grimoire. Have yet to load back in and not meet a new player. Even got messages on some of my gear last time I played, players wondering where to get that awesome helm (darkblade helm) or when I was on my hunter and got asked where I got my vex leg. Never see that in d2.

Will do this later😊

6 RespuestasEditado por RingersCheckmate: 2/7/2020 5:25:45 PMI can barely get past D1s director. Maybe if it had a PC port I'd try to get more invested, but everything for D1 both felt worse and a lotta bad memories come from VoG, kings fall, and Crotas end. Not to mention, the grind for T12 armor is about the only thing worthwhile to do in D1 for myself. It feels like playing mario kart. It's ironic that my only pleasant memories from D1 raids are cheezing bosses, meanwhile in D2 my cherished ones are doing Riven legit and comebacks in GoS

1 RespuestaI keep managing to traverse the abyss of thrall in Crotas end when I go back to d1, but I fail the sword skating
