After SIX years of die hard loyalty to Destiny and Destiny 2...I finally deleted it from my console. I've had a ton of fun but D2 just doesn't have that magic I felt throughout D1. Am I burnt out? ...maybe...but D2 seems like a waste of time compared to D1. I guess I kinda feel like there's too much to keep up with anymore in D2... I always kept all 3 characters up to speed on D1 and it's gotten to the point where doing that now is nearly impossible.
There's a ton of stuff to do...but none of it really matters..I can just grind my artifact up and BAM..good to go. Me and my crew used to raid on every character nearly every week...but that fire just isn't there in D2. I ask a few friends "Hey guys, let's get a raid going"...and I'm met with sighs. The weapons in the raids look cool but there is no Fatebringer-ish weapons to chase...No Vex, No Galli, ....not to mention the general weapon pool in the game has become boring and bloated...way to many legendaries dropping make everything feel "Meh".
I remember the days in D1 when you saw a purple drop...and you freaked out, now they are a dime a dozen. I remember my very first legendary drop....an auto rifle called "The Do Gooder" ....and I had to use it to unlock it perks and fully upgrade it. By the time I killed tons of enemies and had it maxed out...I knew the weapon..it's recoil, what range it best performed in...just a feeling of mastery. Maybe I will re install one of these days...I'll check the streamers from time to time and see what's going on. Maybe the game will be fun again in a year or so....but..till then... Adios Guardians.

17 RespuestasEditado por Cosmic Owl: 2/8/2020 8:07:26 AMWhy does everyone feel the need to announce their perfectly normal, non-interesting departure. Great you’ve played for 6 -blam!-ING YEARS. That’s a loooong time to stick with a game. Sounds like you got your money’s worth. Mission accomplished. Not enjoying it anymore is perfectly normal, doesn’t require a quitting thread. It doesn’t mean the game is bad, it doesn’t mean that other people still don’t enjoy it, it doesn’t mean it’s never going to improve from its current state, or that there won’t be another great expansion that you will almost definitely come back for. Just stfu and go on your way. So many drama queens on this forum.

17 RespuestasEditado por O_Town_Racer: 2/7/2020 7:48:31 PMThe issue with raids in D2 is that they are UNFORGIVING. We could carry a couple noobs through the raids in D1 every time and still manage to complete them in a reasonable time. In D2 with the tokens method, they are unforgiving. One person not pulling their weight can doom the whole raid team. Add to that the tediousness and full-team mechanics (i.e. not being able to solo or do the raids with much less than a full fireteam) and you have a recipe for disaster. I don't know how Bungie is going to fix this. The raids in D2 DO NOT HAVE THE MAGIC that the ones in D1 had. I for one have no desire to do them any longer.

Tbh I was expecting a toxic post. Very surprised.

1 RespuestaGood for you. D2 has became trash. Fun? No there is no any fun on D2. Fun was 2 or 3 years ago. I also deleted the game but after almost 8or 9 motnhs I installed it again because they gave the annual pass for free for forsaken owners and I was curious. But even with that the game was not fun anymore. Nothing interesting. I log in ,go tower, log off and log in again after 2 or 3 moths. When I log in I play only couple of PvP. Until the game begin to match me against "The Gods" player (cheaters) or until I play against erentil kids and I close the game . Warframe and Division 2 are my games now. Destiny trash is only when I want a little fun on PvP even if I can't find the fun in PvP anymore. But Division 2 have terrible PvP and like I said when I want some PvP I go destiny. Bungie lost a lot of people. And I hope they will lose another 50% this year.

i am kind of the opposite of "tons to do" i feel like i ran out of stuff to do in the game
-
Yeah Bungie, I'm done too, but I'll be back next week. But till then -blam!- you.
-
You really don't know what "loyalty" means, huh?
-
Update to this person's thred, if you care so much about deleted characters, then leave. They did delete it from said console, however this person still holds strands of hope that the game they loved turns back around. That is all.
-
I feel you. Thoughts have crossed my mind. Bungie is such cancer, it poisons every aspect of the game, instead of enhancing it.

Havent played for months i really miss d1 in its glory days

6 RespuestasEditado por Kouz_MC: 2/8/2020 10:46:55 AMI remember my first legendary engram. First week of destiny. I was level 26. Gone back to the tower, thing turned into the gally. The irony is I didn’t know what exotics were, nor about the gally, so I remember feeling disappointed at first. But then when I looked into my inventory and saw the thing in my heavy slot I was like: huh this thing doesn’t look too bad. 5 min after I received my first private message: Wanna VoG? I didn’t even know about that activity. The magic began. Three weeks later, I had 89 VoG completions. Good ol times.

god damn the community here is horrible. I feel the same way you do, I've been waiting and watching out for d2 to become worth my time since the end of forsaken. that's why I'm still on these forums. gta v, d1 and soul calibur 6 have been a lot of fun, ace combat 7 was a gem of a game... I've also been trying to beat shadow of the tomb raider for the first time on the hardest difficulty.. too many fun games id rather play than spend my time on d2

I'll miss you
're money😏😈
Ok could you please sweep all your salt of the doormat on your way out

Did you make sure to delete your characters?
-
Can we expect a character deletion to validate this post... Or is it just gum flapping like the countless others?
-
33 RespuestasDelete your characters, otherwise your post is completely meaningless.

Agree with you totally . Exotics are nothing exotic as they are so easy to get we are forced into requiring them . The latest being the 2.0 armour version's. Stuff is so easy to get because of all the moaning people do because they haven't got this and they haven't got that. Good weapons and armour should be hard to get and some stuff in the loot pool should be rare to keep us all interested. But know bungie has listened to the fortnight generation and hands rewards out like smarties. News flash these type of players will all leave once they have what you have handed to them on a silver platter. The loyal player base will remain to do the elbow work and so should be rewarded. Wake up bungie

Bye Felicia. The game just got better with your departure.

4 RespuestasFirst of all to everyone -blam!- about having to pay for stuff y’all do realize that bungie never wanted that, activision wanted that and bungle needed their funds to produce destiny. Bungie has since gone out on their own without activision hence why they are making a new destiny instead of finishing the series with D2 like they had planned. Secondly stop griping over the lack of all powerful weapons. Yeah their cool but if you can’t have fun with weapons that everyone has and you can’t win a raid and you can’t get a high kill count that just falls back onto your skills. D1 was all about leveling up and getting better weapons whereas D2 is about your SKILL wich is why so many people are getting pissy about it. It’s not harder than D1 it just makes you rely on your skill not how awesome your weapon is.
