Fusion rifles have a charge time which requires patience and they are not great for every situation or pvp encounter. Special ammo is not the problem; if special ammo is nerfed other weapons will be affected. Bungie struggles with quality of life changes like special ammo changes and updates that improve the game. Fusion rifle charge time is not the problem. The perk backup plan needs some additional changes and that is in relationship to erentil which gives you increased draw time and increased charge time.
Let’s make this clear, we saw extreme changes to special ammo in Destiny 1. THE GAME DOES NOT NEED SPECIAL AMMO CHANGES FOR PVP. PERIOD.
Fusion rifles are great weapons but calling for inconsistent nerfs because players are over using them is not the right approach. Fusion rifles take time and a little bit of patience to master. So I hope that bungie employees read this because the game does not need a special ammo change or nerfs to ammo for other weapons in pvp. Destiny 1 was and is a great game, but it’s plagued with unnecessary nerfs.

6 RespuestasEditado por Lost Sols: 2/7/2020 12:12:20 AMFusion Rifles should never have been made hit scan. All the major complaints stem from that change because unlike D1 where you could strafe/blink/shade step/etc and make some or all bolts miss, hit scan means if the reticle is on you when they fire, the bolts hit. Obviously the further away you get, the more this becomes obvious and a problem as what should be more than enough time to at least avoid the full shot becomes no chance of avoidance. I've been giving this feedback to the devs for the last year, but I'm not really hopeful it's the fix we will see as I don't really see them making such a major mechanic overhaul at this point in the game's life. That sucks because otherwise (outside of No Backup Plan), I think Fusions are in a great place as far as performance vs shotguns and my fear is that performance is what's going to get nerfed. Edit: after reading the TWaB and the significant changes to how swords will function, maybe we could see bolts move back to travel time and mastering not just the timing of the shots, but leading and following become more of an art again.

They should just add a bit of damage drop off. Now that their hitscan, they have the possibility of one shotting at any range.

4 RespuestasYou Fusion Lovers kept laughing at the cry babies to adapt. Well, it might be time to take your own advice. 😂 LoL. Good Luck with that 👍 I’m an Auto and Trace guy, I was needed long ago. And I do just fine. It’s not that scary out here.

Backup plan needs additional changes? No it’s needs to be straight up removed.
-
12 RespuestasBackup plan should be an exotic perk. Just like it was in d1.

But are they still getting nerfed?? YES!! Deal with it.
-
Sorry bud, but I kinda have to agree that they need to do something about it.
-
Just another gun that'll almost certainly get neutered for the sake of one of gamings worst PvP experiences. Wonderful.
-
Stop the nerfs!!

2 RespuestasThe dont' need a nerf. But this is shaping up to be the same sort of situation that Thorn encountered in D1. Where you just have a shooter community that just refuses to accept the role of these weapons in the game. And Bungie keeps caving to the pressure of complaints from these players, when its clear that the weapons are NOT over powered....and are easily managed if you pay attention to whats going on around you and make intelligent use of cover. But these guys want their montages where they can run around out in the open and use their twitch speed advantage to play without having to think about what they're actually doing.

1 Respuestaagree with OP great weapon in PvE counter to shotgun and HC in PvP

4 RespuestasYou can't rationally think absolutely nothing is wrong. -Fusions should have gone back to projectiles over a year ago. -No High Impact should have all the accuracy bonuses that allow them to snipe well into scout rifle range -Special weapons are a dependency for some, the ammo economy encourages it.
-
"I crutch on a OHK gun that can kill at 80+ meters consistently"

12 RespuestasPeople are gonna keep complaining about special ammo then we’re going back to Year 3 of D1. Its gonna be a sidearm meta again. Then all those crybabies are gonna come back that a sidearm is killing them and they don’t have special enough... smh. I love and hate these forums lol.
-
The only issue is that exotic perks should not be given to legendary weapons.
-
4 RespuestasI run into more shotguns than I do fusions. I think the problem is that shotguns have a lower skill gap, so average player can be almost as good as a core player. But someone who is good with a fusion rifle will almost always dominate an average player with a fusion. Same can be said for snipers.
-
This issue isn't fusions it's the possible perk combinations for very specific fusions.
-
They are legit only good against bots Any one that has mastered advanced concepts like strafing and jumping can play around them easily
-
Lol.... if I use a fusion in pvp I have a cake walk they don't take skill at all, and that's including without backup plan
-
They need to be looked at tho . No doubt about that . The distance they have is insane . And with a perk like firmly planted takes the “skill” argument away . Charge time means nothing when fusions can kill at the distance that they can achieve.
-
Fusion Rifles were way more overpowered in Destiny 1. It's just now with these forums people can come on here anytime to complain when they're being killed over and over. It's like the situation with police brutality, it isn't a new thing, it's just because social media and cameras are more prevalent so it gets out more now-a-days. Fusion Rifles are perfectly fine as is. The ONE Fusion Rifle that MUST be Nerfed is Erentil 's range.

Revert fusions to projectile from hitscan like D1 Make backup plan only available on rapid fire fusions. Problem solved.
