Just like the post says.
I've been playing this game since day one of D1.
Taking breaks occasionally for real life.
I came back to D2 and wanted to start knocking some triumphs out.
Started looking at the raids and realized I haven't completed a single one.
Last LFG I used everyone started talking and arguing about things and my anxiety just couldn't deal.
I shut the console off and didn't play again for months.
Any advice on how to get through one?
Or even what to post so I can maybe have a better chance with an LFG?
:edit: you guys have all been so helpful thank you for all the advice.
To sum it up.
Basically I just put in the Lfg that I've never done it before. That I need a sherpa and don't know what I'm doing?
Also be chill

Active clan is ur best bet

Your not missing much ... seriously there’s no fun to be had

I'll tell you why you shouldn't really bother with many raids beyond maybe Last Wish and Scourge and a bit of the first Levi. Raids really aren't that rewarding and feel like a complete waste of time for everyone.

7 RespuestasI completed one. It was shit. D1 raids....sigh memories....when reset day meant something 😭 Tuesday was a day of beauty. A day we would long for all week, a day we would phone in sick for, just to get that raid and nightfall fix...now it's just another day.....

Editado por FL00FING AB0UT: 2/4/2020 6:25:21 PMI literally had someone leave before the first encounter of Scourge once because members of the fire team had a lot of clears (it was only like 20...). They just kept repeating, “that’s uncomforting...” before dropping out without a word. I get anxiety gets bad, but jeez, it shouldn’t stop you from even trying. Some groups are bad. LFG is a mixed bag, but >85% of my raid clears came from LFG. I recommend avoiding kids under 18 (they’re immature and cruel) and anyone who consistently tries to dictate the raid even if there are other acceptable ways (aka, raid authoritarian) Otherwise, that hardest part will be actually DOING the raid.

Honestly, you'll be hardpressed to find a raid team that doesn't at the very least have heated communication at one point or another. That's just how it is. The only raid teams that don't are that way because they are so good that they rarely need to communicate. So they likely won't let you on their team with no experience. I suffer from anxiety as well, probably not as bad as yours, but I know the struggle. You're just going to have to confront your fear and accept that a raid probably won't be a smooth ride from start to finish.

Find an active clan. Ask to have a group sherpa you through one. Be flexible with when you can raid and try to recruit a team to raid in advance. The clan I'm in usually runs 2 older raids a week and will take new raiders through. I also raid at a set time with a full clan fireteam and we'll work on strats so that way we can bring players through the new raids. Been doing this since Spire of Stars. When we bring new players through a new raid we usually put a time limit and try to get them through as much as possible so they can learn.

There are some assholes out there, but keep searching and you'll find some good people.
-
2 RespuestasThere were rude people in d1 raids too. Why's it such a huge issue now?
-
I've never technically finished a raid I've finished the first one by getting a invite for the last encounter and I've been to the last boss on the GoS but finding chill people is hard or people just willing to give ya a chance.
-
The best way would be to join an active raiding clan.
-
I watched a lot of videos until I had a decent idea of the encounters and then found an LFG willing to teach. It took a while, not many of those come up and when they do they get swarmed.

I’d help if you were on Xbox. Maybe one day they’ll add crossplay for consoles

Search for chill ppl m8 :). Just write it straight down on your lfg post. I always post it like this: “Lf5m’s, Sundial Legend, 950+, be chill, no mic req” This for example is for a legend sundial run. And it worked like a charm. Never had a bad experience with players unless they leave after the first lose lmao. You cant help those ppl anyway xD. If you need help for like a nf or nightmare hunt, hit me up. Shoutout to those 2 fellow guardians from yesterday for the chill master nightmare hunts <3. A step closer to the harbinger seal :D

The100.io is also a viable website/app to find pre-scheduled groups to do raids or other activities. You can join a group that plays at the same time you do or join a public listing for an activity. The D2 companion app and LFG is a random grab bag. If you use these, be careful and try to evaluate if you should stay or leave and find a new group. Good luck!

Me either, I was a die hard raider in D1 m, I think, but I've only competed Leviathan, which was a game show, and the 1st Raid Lair, which was a strike. Did most of Last Wish, but not the whole thing. I think Last Wish does qualify as a raid.

Start with Eater of Worlds. It’s probably the easiest raid ever released and is a good way to slowly get into raids.

For everyone here who’s looking for a Sherpa, r/DestinySherpa on reddit is a great place to start

Be chill is always nice. But LFG is always random, you never know what team you’ll get. But the best cases are when you join a clan team, they tend to be friendly all around and helpful, but there’s no really easy way to get into them since they don’t specify. Otherwise, you can get aggressive teams. Roudy teams, as diverse as the Destiny Community is. A couple wipes tend to anger anyone. But you need to watch a guide to learn what to do, people are usually impatient. As for the must have +10 clears guys on LFG? They’re elitists. They tend to not pull their weight individually, and assume that their raid report means that communication isn’t necessary. I’ve done GoS plenty of times now and I can assure it’s a hassle, but my most recent, and fastest run, had a guy with no mic, so really LFG is just a surprise. Good luck out there pal!

7 RespuestasD1 raids: Normal mode res tokens but no team wipe counter. Hard mode no res tokens but also no team wipe counter. D2 raids: Normal/hard mode res tokens and both have team wipe counters. D2 raids require more "KWTD". 1 player can cause team wipes way easier than in D1 raids. That's why probably in D1 more players were willing to help because they could still easily finish raids when someone died. This is caused by some hard core gamers who found raids and other end game stuff too easy.

I'm there with ya, I havent been able to do much raids cause I struggle to understand youtubers and their methods on how to teach raids. I do better when I'm in the raid. Things just click faster. It sucks I cant even do GoS because I gotta know everything. What sucks is my clan always say to me "GoS takes 7 hours for us to complete" but yet they post it on band how they complete it rather quickly. Then when I ask to do CoS they give me yet another excuse. Now my clan is avoiding me cause of a friend I have. I sorta gave up on my clan and trying to be nice. Ifg on on xbox is just so toxic. I cant do raids because people set stupid standards like 14 clears and mist have certain exotics and obviously kwtd. Guess I'll never get divinity or tarrabah or anarchy. ;-;

Have people you can trust, it’s the best way.
