They aren’t broken.
People just stubbornly refuse to accept what they are good at and adapt.
So they struggle and then want to blame the weapon. Instead of understanding that they are being punished for bad strategy and tactics.
They are a [i]problem[/i] in comp because they are a counter to preferred play styles in comp, and the pinnacle weapons that dominate high level comp.

funny how all these users assume people who complain about fusions don’t know how tp counter them. but with backup plan they are almost uncounterable. thats the problem

Backup plan is only a nuisance to over agressive, rushing players. It give the user a panic button to push if they get caught out, or want to push. But at the cost of the weapons mid-range consistency and accuracy. A trade off that good FR players don’t want to make. Every weapon with BUP that I get is immediately sharded. Because it cause the weapon to fire on an inconsistent timing when that consistent timing is critical to hitting a moving target at range. So you counter it by backing up and forcing him to make that shot with that handicap. If he makes that shot, you died to skill...or making yourself an easy target. You counter the non-BUP Erentil by either pushing and getting inside the charge up time with a fast killing short range weapon. Or back up to long range and kill them with long range weapons. But if you refuse to change your play style and insist on going after them with hand cannon/shotgun or hand cannon/sniper. A good FR player is going beat you up at take your lunch money [i]every day.[/i] Because you aren’t going to ever win that mid range fight unless HE makes a mistake.

Just because someone doesn't have good stats doesn't mean their advice has no value. People can be bad at performing something yet still understand the ins and outs of it. You have to play the Erentil users game and I know that frustrates a lot of aggressive players, but it's time to accept that. Also while I am a Fusion Rifle advocate, I personally dislike Backup Plan being a regular perk as it brings the skill floor of long charge time Fusion Rifles to nonexistent levels. It also negates the true weakness they're supposed to have with no real downside other than losing the "snipes" since you don't have perks like Tap the Trigger or Firmly Planted depending on the Fusion Rifle.

Because of it you never bother to learn how to use these weapons. So you don’t know how they work. You don’t know their strengths and weaknesses, so you have no idea what to do against them..... ...except to whine like a schoolgirl for Bungie to nerf it. While you get in my face and try to convince me how much of a “killah” you are. [i]Please.[/i] You are a ONE-Dimensional player, and are being exposed for one by the weapon. The weapon is in the game to give [i]smart[/i] players a counter to high twitch speed/high thumbskill players. Other smart players don’t have a problem countering them. Which is why every Nerf Erentil thread gets downvoted to oblivion. Because the weapon isn’t broken, and Backup plan is internally balanced. But hey keep digging that hole and keep stubbornly trying to beat down the weapons strengths. You’ll eventually get tired of beating your head against the wall and stop. If you’re lucky another good FR player will take pity on you and tell you what you need to do. Because I’m done with you and the insults. Hopefully if that day comes, you’ll have swallowed your pride by then and be ready to listen

I’m one of the [i]original [/i] FR players of the franchise. And like so many of you who come here whining for a nerf the root of your problem is you want an easy solution. One that doesn’t require you to be analytical or change how you play in response to the weapon’s presence. And that answer [i]doesnt exist.[/i] So you got two choices: [i]adapt and change;[/i] or continue to complain and hope Bungie takes mercy on you and nerfs it. Only they haven’t nerfed the thing in two years. But hey, I’m pulling for ya. Good luck.
