I miss armsday
I wish they'd reintroduce armsday I loved going to banshee to see what frames he had, then completing them and waiting for the god roll to turn up I feel it's something this game really is missing, meaningful little activities that could be so rewarding, there are so many yr1 weapons that could benefit from random rolls imagine,... mannanan, scathelocke, agenda5, frontier justice just to mention a few there is so much potential to boost the loot pool

2 RespuestasBringing back armsday would be a great way to bring forward year 1 weapons that haven't gotten random rolls yet. Remember Red Mamba and Copperhead? Those would be great in Y3.

Weapon Foundry sponsorship... that coincide with factions... using a certain brand of weapon and their shaders could earn you rep and gain rewards.

3 RespuestasI’m not sure it would work in the current state of Destiny 2. We can already cash in 100 gunsmith parts for a randomly rolled weapon. We can (at least for the duration of the season) farm obelisk weapons as much as we have resources and time to do the conditions and steps. There is also the menagerie weapons. How would an Armsday work in a game climate that is almost immediate rewards? Completing a bounty and then having to wait a week for a random roll would be seen as unnecessary. There would have to be a vast improvement to the system. We’d need to not only pick the specific gun but also have control over its exact perks and masterwork. Would Armsday need to be a monthly account based activity to balance it? Would the economy have to change where gunsmith parts and legendary shards can no longer be used as currency for engrams? Would it need to go back to a vendor ranking system? I loved Armsday in D1 but it seems counterintuitive to the current state of D2.

If I trusted Bungie to reintroduce it in a way that didn’t feel like twice the grind for mediocre rewards, maybe I’d like to see it come back. I just don’t trust the designers right now. All they know how to do is make tedious fetch and kill quests. And if Bungie did actually surprise us and decided to add powerful weapons with interesting perks that we could grind for, players would inevitably pitch a fit over how “OP” they are and how they’re “ruining the game”.

Armsday is not the answer to anything unless you like to hurry up and wait for everything good to come your way. Active farming (i.e., Sundial, Menagerie, Forge, etc.) is better and should be the only way you get a god roll.

It's a good idea that really won't do much. We already have alot of weapons that work just fine. What difference would it make if we got another 140 Hand Cannon or another 180 Scout. We already have weapons that work perfectly fine with reliable ways to get them.

I miss factions. Dead orbit armor from ttk with a little bit of every weapon from each faction and I was a happy camper.
