Played some D1 crucible last night.
I know we are all sick of these posts..
But wow.. I really hope Bungie makes a solid pvp game next.

7 Respuestasnah. current D1 pvp is so awful.

1 RespuestaRose tinted glasses! Get your rose tinted glasses here! Two for 5 bucks!

8 RespuestasWow. Did you forget that at one point, they ruined every choice to the point that No Land Beyond became the meta? Nostalgia really blinds a lot of you on here.
-
Ahh still remember being on the bottom of the leaderboard & being rewarded a exotic, ahhh the memories 😂

I didn't play much Crucible in D1. All I really have to compare D2 to, is other PvP games I play. Modern Warfare, Black Ops 4, and Overwatch. In it's current state, I don't think Crucible is bad. I just refuse to play it because there's absolutely nothing to gain from it. Pinnacles are gone, rituals are not special enough, the IB armor is reused, the weapons haven't been updated in forever. Unless my buds are with me, and they want to play, I just don't have any motivation.

I'm surprised you found a match. I sat in orbit for five minutes before I gave up on it. I'm also surprised you like D1's garbage meta, but different strokes for different folks, I guess.
-
3 RespuestasUm... nope. Sidearms, handcannons, and icebreaker was the meta I remember. D1 pvp is atrocious in its current state. And is also what led is to vanilla d2.

14 RespuestasEditado por Bliss: 1/1/2020 9:21:04 AMYea, side arm meta, ice breaker and fusion grenades. I remember that. Oh, and shot package range finder shotguns, oh and remember final round snipers and two two thorn? No thanks... Edit: D1 was a constant meta shift of constant nerfs and a couple of useable things D2 has plenty of diverse and broken shit I'd rather come onto these forums and see people complaining about A LOT of different things in the crucible instead of like 2 out-lier weapons. We get 3 options for the crucible 1. Constant Meta shift due to nerfs, a couple of out-lier weapons, no counters, 2. D2 vanilla where it actually was balanced, but boring as -blam!- and team shooting 3. The current state of PVP, plenty of options, sure there is a lot of annoying things, but most of my deaths in PVP are from a variety of things, not two different guns (last word and thorn) like it was a D1. We can all have our own opinions on which one of the 3 is best.

I like how fast paced d2 is but my favorite meta was in April update everything felt good but nothing was an outlier

D1 year 3, AoT was the best state this game has ever been in. It's so sad Bungie threw that all away to start over. They went way to casual to start whereas now I can't help but feel they're over compensating and going to hard in the other direction. I'm a scrub casual with 4500+ hours into this game, but the only reaming thing I half enjoy is Iron Banner. I can barely stomach the dumb*ss quest put in front of armor and token usage. Unfortunately the fame is full of that type of crap now. AoT was a time when I could play whatever I wanted, and I felt rewarded for that time spent, I miss that.

33 RespuestasWhat do you see happening with the return of Trials? Will they simply dump it into this sandbox? If so the response we had this week to Iron Banner will be nothing in comparison. Now that being said can you imagine the overhaul that is needed to have a crucible sandbox that elimination played on the levels of Trials would need. I mean we have Trials right now don't we.....How much use is that play list seeing? There is more to it than 3v3 elimination.

And that’s saying something since D1’s PVP was an unbalanced pile of shit too
-
1 RespuestaYeah, thav shit got nerfed to oblivion. Imagine having no special ammo and having to use worm wood 😂
-
Editado por blade329: 1/1/2020 5:45:22 AMYup. D1 PvP, by the time Year 3 rolled around, was at its best. Bungie just royally f**ked up this mode from day day 1 of Destiny 2. It's never been the same. .

3 RespuestasLike 90% of the rest of D1 it shows that it does almost everything superior. The only thing giving D2 any advantage in my book is a few of the extra supers, the in game lore tab, the in game timer for PEs, clambering, and the clan system. The rest of it? Still a lot worse.

Loved d1 pvp.

1 RespuestaEditado por killa beaver: 12/30/2019 10:52:54 PMThat’s debatable, I think for the most part(some outlier weapons still) d2 PvP is better then d1, probably the biggest problem/ difference between d1 and d2 is most maps don’t allow for a lot of variety, smaller d2 maps just force pulse/scout players to sit on 1-2 lanes all game which makes half the map stagnant. If the game got 6-8 new/old d1 maps it would help the weapon environment a lot. Because at the moment 90% of the maps are extremely favorable to a handcannon shotty loadout (which I’m fine with as a HC main), but getting new play-spaces is a needed breath of fresh air such as widows court, fragment and rusted lands.

3 RespuestasDepends if you have played d2 on pc or not
-
ttk d1 pvp was the best
-
Yup. I actually enjoyed PvP in D1.
-
1 RespuestaHmmm D1 Crucible had its good metas but D1's current meta "for the last 3 years" has been the worst one out of all them in my opinion and since I doubt there are any sandbox changes coming to D1 I'm gonna say that as of right now D2's PvP is lightyears better then D1's.
-
31 RespuestasThey did. Vanilla Destiny 2. That is what balance looks like.
-
1 RespuestaTotally agree! Most fun I've ever had in Destiny 1&2 is Combined Arms - and no, I don't even have a long rifle. Using a Dis 43 with SPO 28 sights to take out the snipers, and Thebesto Telesto to take out the vehicles. Never get tired of that game mode :)
-
2 RespuestasI don't know why you added 'pvp' to your thread title. Ledge grab aside, everything D1 is better. " D1 is still lightyears better than D2 "
-
2 RespuestasBoth light-years behind competitive shooters from 2008. Ptp. Lol
-
4 RespuestasThe special ammo economy alone is enough to push D2 over D1 PVP every day of the week.
