I feel less like I need to take a break, and more that Bungie needs to. ( I have been playing a lot less though. Need to somehow pull 26-9 levels before Tuesday so at least I get what I bought along Shadowkeep)

Bungie literally sent out an email for shadowkeep that said something along the lines of “Don’t fear the dark. Fear missing out.” at the end of it 😹

Just ignore it, how important is it really? It will only be obsolete in the near future, pretty much like everything these days.

A lot of us can't believe it's a thing, but the FOMO you see being thrown around actually came from Bungie, so you're probably gonna see it mentioned a lot with this game going forward.

Yeah, but don’t skip the 12-18000xp from the origin locations, per planet (skip TS & DC) ...you can run 2-3 bounties on a planet, combine with a selection of Banshee/Drifter ‘Civic Duty’ bounties & gain greatly ....cash them all in at once (if you can) Also Crucible is a quick earner for Bounties 👍

Well done buddy for missing the entire point of my post, concentrating on a single word & taking it out of context Perseverance: A continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition And No, gaming isn’t ALL about perseverance, but without it ....players would quit at the first fence (guess you have never used a tape recorder to LOAD a Spectrum/C64/Amstrad 464 game for what felt like eternity, like listening to Omnigul screech , then watch as it failed anyway ....then try again 😆) ——- Oh and by the way, I agree with one of your comments - FOMO has no place in a Triple-A studio game....Bungie need to step away from this cheap psychology trick

You used the term “mind numbingly boring” along with perseverance, to me that doesn’t sound like fun to me, I don’t believe I took it it of context. With regards to FOMO, kids need to learn self control, plain and simple, companies aren’t necessarily totally responsible. Try a ZX81.

Well, for that I apologise, in my defence, when I see mind numbingly dull and perseverance describing activities in a game it reminds me of work, and that’s not why I game.

It’s not why I game either if you read any of my other posts, you would see I’m critical of the way the Destiny franchise & Bungie Studio is turning out - D2 has been a studio shiteshow & heads should have rolled in 2017 This Bungie are a shell of the productive, passionate & creative studio they once were! Sadly, the use of psychological methods, FOMO, the use of ‘streamers’ & the aggressive marketing/PR tactics means that this ‘hobby/pastime’ is changing for the worse across many studios/developers

Couldn’t agree more, I recently got more satisfaction from a £15 indie game, no loot boxes,no microtransactions, no tricks, just great game design from a small team that listens to their community.
