Arc Staff Blocking
In the past 2 days, I have been killed by a shotgun shooting me while I’m blocking with my staff a total of 5 times. Every time it happens it doesn’t even say they got the kill, just that I misadventured. I’m going to go ahead and assume it’s just bungie’s fault for doing a crappy job of programming their game correctly.

1 RespuestaIf you are in pvp, twirling your staff to block all incoming damage and die. . That is the greatest thing I've heard this week! You should die! As a warlock. I have nothing that can protect me while in my super. I die all the time. ;)

Yep, I can confirm; few days back in IB I killed a poor hunter with shotgun, exactly how you described; I really felt sorry for the poor guy and cursing bungo in the same time..

1 RespuestaI actually have a clip the other day where I sniped an arc staff as he casted to kill him in the animation but he went into a block and noticed he still died from a misadventure. Thought I was crazy or something but yeah I think the block is broken.

For some odd reason you take a very small amount of damage when you deflect with the super i dont know why but it happens sometimes

Had the same issue happen a couple times to me as well. Infuriating to say the least, but hopefully they fix it soon

I thought this was just me but I’ve had the same issue where it says misadventure and the only time deflecting seems to be effective is when you first cast the super.

I've used way of the current all season and never had this happen to me.

3 RespuestasYeah. It's a bug. It seems like the staff is working like Anteus Wards used to and occasionally damage is being reflected to the user, resulting in a misadventure.

Hmm..had same problem wrapped aluminum foil around controller that fixed it.

I'm thinking it was lag. You probably got shot before it was active. Or you may have let it loose without realizing. Or... whatever.

^ it’s super frustrating. Either that or just getting straight up gunned down by an auto rifle in your super while blocking

yea no its a bit whack. In comp one game there was an arc staff that just fell over blocking AR bullets.

Same here. The bullets seem to be reflecting at the person blocking. Kind of like the same thing with anteaus wards bug some time back. This started happening to me after the last update.

It might be a bug. I know that the Titan exotic boots that reflect stuff can bug out and reflect the damage back on to yourself and it’ll amp up the damage killing you instantly.
