These duplicates are getting out of hand. Trying to get pinnacle gear to level up and get the same things over and over.

Gos duplicates
Warlock: 10 robes from 4 raids
Titan: 5 gauntlets and 5 chest pieces from 4 raids
7 fusion rifles, 5 pulse rifles, 5 bows, 3 hand cannons, 3 shotgun , can I occasionally get an armor piece I dont have yet? FFS
Most of the guys in my team have a complete set of raid armor and I keep getting the same drops over and over again.

1 RespuestaEditado por drew012278: 11/25/2019 10:45:05 AMRNG in a computer based system is never random. It’s a computer doing what computers do: exactly as they are programmed today. Follow a very linear line of code. The only thing close to random and even then not totally random is mechanical RNG. Like numbered balls falling down. But in the case of destiny they are way to heavily weighted to ever be random. For instance reward boots a lot over the coveted exotic everyone wants. And the argument to make it feel “special” is the major flaw to it as well. You see random is random. There is no equation weighting the items. No protections to be put in place for “bad luck” it just happens. They more complicated you make it the worse it gets. Bungie has always thought themselves right out the front door. Literally marveling at their own “intelligence so much the ruin everything. K.I.S.S. Comes to mind with them....Keep It Simple Stupid. They don’t. They have literally ruined everything at this point trying to be so damned clever. The computers well like I said literally just doing what they are programmed to do. And one thing a computer isn’t......IS RANDOM bungies staff is in desperate need of someone without a million degrees measuring how smart they are what Bungie needs is a middle aged person with years and years of experience and COMMON SENSE. Enough to say cut the shit. Oof do they need that because clearly their mentality of it’s our game we do what we want......cause that’s not doing so great......

1 RespuestaMate I have got three Dust Rock Blues in one afternoon across three characters. All this game does is give you more of what you have to keep you playing to get what you want. And I haven't seen an exotic in weeks after cutting my playtime right back.
-
I keep getting duplicates. It’s annoying and not rewarding. This RNG system will only discourage me from playing the dungeon further.
-
1 RespuestaMy Titan hasn't gotten boots from GOS yet an it's all people complain about outside of energy weapon drops. For me personally the raid loot tables need adjusting as its way to common for players to waste 5 pinnacle drops on nothing but energy weapons.

27 Respuestas
Bungie, 7 boots and 2 helmets from 9 Pit of Heresy is not random
Actually it is. If a die rolls on a 5 9 times out of 10, you can't go get a refund for your "rigged" die. The whole point of randomness is that it's completely random and unpredictable. You want to complain about RNG being a bad system? Fine. I disagree when it comes to looter-shooters, but that's a matter of opinion. Just don't try to call it bullshit when it's doing exactly what it's designed to do.

1 RespuestaI had 6 chestpieces and 1 cloak in 4 GoS raids. No helmet, boots, gloves at all.
-
3 RespuestasUnfortunately, this is truly random. Which is the problem. I’ve said this a million times and I’ll say it a million more until bungie gets this through their head. If you’re not gonna let us farm the raid, give a duplicate protection system. Make it so firstly, the chances of getting the same item twice in a row, is the same chance of getting One Thousand Voices (I know for a fact I’ll never have to worry about getting a duplicate again, which is the point). Second, make it so the game errs on giving you something you don’t already have or haven’t gotten many of. Thirdly, make it so if you got a particular item from say the consecrated mind last week, you are MUCH less likely to get that item from the consecrated mind. Now, to be a balancing act, once you have acquired all items from the raid, the duplicate protection doesn’t go away, but any of the decreases provided by the system are diminished, not to previous levels, but let’s cut half of whatever is given to them
-
1 RespuestaTrue RNG can generate the same number over and over again it's definitely random
-
7 RespuestasThat actually IS true random. You're asking for a weighted random system or a system including some sort of duplicate protection.
-
3 RespuestasNo one ever prays to RNGesus anymore. Everyone just cries to Bungie that they haven't gotten the drop they want
-
Every time I’ve done it I’ve gotten a class item
-
I got 3 boots in a row
-
That’s actually very random. Annoying but random. And unfortunately that’s RNG for you. You can never say for certain that it’s broken just because you’re have really bad luck. You can get 50 of the same item and it could still be random.
-
4 Respuestas7 boots & 2 helmets from 9 runs is literally random.
-
You are wrong. That should been 9 boots.
-
They do this all the time, release new activites with zero loot protection, wait till the community gets pissed about getting the same stuff over and over and then they go 'yeah, we'll add some duplicate protection here'. It extends the grind.
-
2 RespuestasRemember smart loot from D1? I 'member. Hell, EP did it better when it first came out. You got the armor in sequence and once you completed the set then you would randomly get any piece from the set
-
1 Respuestathink of all the prisms your getting for when you dismatle them (6). for the most part Pit gear is not as good as IB or raid gear. I think many get excited for MW gear but forget to realize that when you masterwork a gear piece your adding 12 to it. So if you've moded a Pit piece, it's MW'd, and it's 74. really it's a 52 when you take away the MW (12) and mod (10). I get that most will have to wait till they get a higher light level piece but I think in the long run you're still in a good position. IB is next week, if you get a 65 starting piece, it'll be 87 after a mod (+10) & MW (+12). happy hunting Wook
-
2 RespuestasKeep it moving, hamster.
-
16 RespuestasIs there any point in doing the PIT? It's kewl content, but getting something that is 1 light higher than what you have equipped seems like a waste of time.
-
2 RespuestasGoS drops are skewed by the system of bonus chests only yielding armour thats dropped previously. And yes, I think thats daft. Its a countermeasure to people glitching into the Raid to grab loot from the chests, but IMO in countering it what they've done is frustrate Raiders. I dont particularly care if Johnny Solo grabs a chest or two each week. I actually liked that Last Wish gave non-raiders a chance to get some loot and see the Raid area(s). It was a nice, generous touch IMO.
-
The two core things which will kill this game. 1. Matchmaking - just garbage. Stomp or get stomped. 2. RNG - It’s just garbage. Players are finally saying enough is enough. Numbers are dropping and continue to drop. This is the beginning of the end.
-
I’ve literally got gauntlets and boots for the last three weeks. Garbage loot system.
-
I have had 10 bows from GOS after about 12 runs of the first encounter
-
Editado por SluggardCave771: 11/25/2019 1:03:30 AMSane this happen in Destiny 1 Vault of glass none of my friends got boots and I got like several on my first run LOL Oh and Devs don't actually know how to create a true random number generator. And in actually fact it is impossible to code one in software.

Grind extended. Working as intended.
