No. Mechanics. As in the mechanical process of a boss fight. IE plates, balls, hoops, puzzles. Whatever the -blam!- gamey thing they choose to slay the God monster. Mechanically the "classes" are identical. They do nothing different from each other beyond superficial shit that is rarely needed (proof is in the triumphs. Raid clears with all 1 class). This game is mechanically shallow, I don't get what's so hard to understand. It's right there in front of us, what's not to see?

Which shooter is mechanically good in your opinion?

Current? Shooters aren't meant to be particularly mechanically heavy. But they can and some do pretty well with it. Titan fall did OK, new Doom looks to be killing it. RPGs demand the mechanics as you are "role" playing. That's why I'm so hard on this game. It promises 1000 things and does none of it.

Well it's primarily a loot shooter regardless of what Bungie brands so I guess it does pretty well in mechanics. But yeah they can never build it into a proper RPG as that requires a lot of other stuff. Decisions are a big part of RPGs and here we don't have any decisions to make which impact the story or the world in any way. Everything is just very linear.
