Shadowkeep is able to be shared, the seasons(including season of the Undying) cannot. Season passes are new to Destiny(not to be confused with the Forsaken [b][i]Annual[/i][/b] Pass). They are purchased with silver through Eververse so that people using cross-save are able to access the content on all platforms they own the game on(ex. you have a PS and an Xbox setup for cross-save). The side effect is that seasons can't be shared through multiple single platform accounts(ex. you and your brother's Xbox accounts).

It’s disappointing and I just want our money back. This was our only birthday gift

Bungie does not issue refunds as they did not sell you the game. All refund requests would need to go through the retailer that sold you the game and would be subject to their refund policies.

So you're just mad you can't freeload. As good of a feature as it can be, it definitely gets abused way too much and shoud be done away with.

At best you both split the cost of a single game and failed to do your research about the season pass not being shareable.
