update to my earlier reply i did some testing last night and an empowered swashbuckler x5 reckless oracle has lower DPS than master of arms recluse
if that doesnt spell out “THIS GUN PUTS EVERYTHING ELSE TO SHAME AND SHOULDN’T EXIST” as clear as day then I really don’t know what does.

It's a pinnical weapon. Apart from redrix being a turd. Name a pinnical weapon that isnt best in class?
-
Literally all of them except delirium and wendigo? Also recluse is hardly a pinnacle weapon anymore, with comp being as generous as it is it takes like 7 or 8 wins to get it. Even not the best pvper could get it in a day. Also as we saw with Not forgotten, a pinnacle weapon that was way harder to get and way more prestigious of a reward than recluse considering not only did you have to get a ton more comp points but also when you got twice the points you get now, being a pinnacle weapon does not grant any sort of special un-nerfable status. the game should be balanced and recluse is as unbalanced as the pve meta has ever been. it isn’t just slightly better, it is better than every other option by a very wide margin. It is pretty much the D2 gjllarhorn in the sense that nothing compares in the slightest. .

Lunas and every vanguard and gambit pinnacle.

Ok let me change that up crucible pinnical
-
"My previous arguement was instantly shot down by logic and fact so I'm going to change it to fit my agenda." Pathetic.
-
Also I thought it would be obvious I was referring to the crucible category pinnical weapons. Since were talking about a crucible pinnical weapon. Others are trash everyone knows that.
-
Or, since you were talking about pinnacle weapons and you said "pinnacle weapon," people just might think you were talking about pinnacle weapons... An consider this: The PvP pinnacle weapons are the only ones to consistently be outliers in terms of performance in either PvE or PvP, with the exception of Revoker. Do you know what that means in the eyes of a mathematician, scientist, or even a statistician? They can't be considered as the rule. They are outliers. Bungie saw that and took away pinnacles. The community saw that and got put in this endless cycle of "Time to use my pinnacle gear in literally every activity I LFG for or I'll get kicked." The meta in general saw that when two hand cannons on console literally had more than 50% of all energy kills even though most casual players didn't have the guns, or when Mountaintop could kill Prime evil in the first well in Gambit Prime. What you're arguement is doing is setting outliers as the standard. Very rarely can we do that and have positive consequences. Nerfs are every bit as important as buffs.
-
They are meant to be good in pvp. They are built FOR pvp. Bungo probably didn't think it through properly (like most things) due to that they've made the strongest pve weapon accidentally. They need multiple sandbox's. Buffs rarely happen. Its nerf this nerf that. Rarely any buffs. If they nerf everything the game will be dull and feel boring because nothing will be worth the grind because everything is the same. It's a looter shooter.. better loot should mean better killing ability.
-
The sandboxes should be separate. For the most part they are, except when it comes to really potent weapons. All the PvE damage perks were nerfed for PvE reasons, for example. They weren't even touched in PvP. Precision multipliers were also toned down in PvE for PvE reasons. This nerf is REALLY felt in 980 activities. Primaries do no damage. But just this last sandbox update we got pulse buffs, scout buffs, a few exotic buffs, and then some nerfs. Granted I think some of the nerfs were to far, we did get a fair amount of both.
-
Does it not feel dull and like you're weak? I play a looter shooter for power stuff.. to smash through things with "amazing" gear. Not all the same stuff what's the point in a looter shooter if all the loot sucks
-
All the loot doesn't suck. It only "sucks" because people believe the "best" should be the standard. Ace of Spades is my favorite exotic in the game. I'm on console. Been using it every day since it came out. I love it. But was there any point in using it in Y2 PvP when I had NF? No. Leviathan's Breath is really fun. Riskrunner is really fun. Sleeper is fun. Wardcliff is even fun in PvE. Whisper is still really powerful, especially in the new raid. Izanagi's as well. With the exception of Izanagi's, most of these are hardly used anymore because something is just better and the community raises the "best" to the "minmum." Machine guns are fun and pretty efficient at add clear, but why use heavy when Recluse is better at the same job? Blinding grenade launchers stop enemies in their tracks that even suppressor grenades don't. It can straight up shut Shriekers and blind ogres, but body uses them because Mountaintop exists. People just have this habit of deciding that the "best" is now the standard. If you don't believe me, go LFG a Garden of Salvation on PC. I have several friends who have and every single on says you straight up kicked if you don't run Izanagi's on the bosses, simply because it's the best. I get that people want to have the highest chance of success and some loadouts are better and whatnot. That's fine. It's a raid. But there's a difference between using the best loadout and setting it as a standard, and this community has a habit of doing the latter and pushing it on to the rest of the playerbase. Part of a looter is to identify or really enjoy specific weapons you've gotten. To build your character and play how you want. Some guy shouldn't be kicked for using his favorite weapon for DPS just because it's second best.

I forgot the other pinnical weapons existed.. (I dont have nor want them) I play 99% PVP easy thing to overlook.
