As it happens, i watched a dps comparison video this evening.

Leviathans Breath 18k 《worst exotic in D2?)

I'm hitting 44k on crits with the LB
-
Takes around a week to fire a shot. 18k dps for an exotic heavy is a joke.
-
What were the total damage numbers?
-
Leviathans breath 1 shots in crucible, even supers. You just suck lol
-
In PVE, its straight up trash. You must be a new player 🙄
-
Since D1 Beta Buddy :)
-
Editado por US Reaper x: 10/25/2019 12:48:52 AMLol he was clearly talking about pve. Must admit this is the first time I’ve met a d1 beta bot lol.
-
Did the dps numbers not give you the slightest clue that it was a PVE test? Clueless, stick to monopoly.
-
It's a heavy, as long as it's not a machine gun, any other one should be doing that already. Faster too, considering how long it takes to draw that thing.
-
Sleeper one shots supers in bubbles, has the same ammo capacity and takes less time to charge up...
-
Leviathan's is better. There's no loud charge sound, and you can hold the bow charge, instead of having to constantly pre-charge sleeper. Why are you challenging a bubble by pushing into it anyway? It might take less time, but with Leviathan's you won't be caught flat-footed when you stop your pre-charge. Any decent player will kill you in the duration it takes for sleeper to charge.
-
Any decent player will do the same against Leviathan’s Breath. You don’t need stealth to kill a super, they’re just gonna run straight at you 99% of the time anyway. You’d challenge a bubble because you actually can with Sleeper and not with Leviathans Breath. Sleeper can easily kill multiple people with overpenetration and the ricochet.
-
Who cares if it one shots in pvp? Shotguns snipers fusions rockets all one shot. You're not very smart are you?
-
Leviathan is clearly not designed to be DPS, so saying it's the worst by using DPS as a metric is stupid.
-
It’s not designed for dps. Many guns aren’t. But considering it is not remotely competitive for dps and is worse than the majority of special weapons, this gun is trash.
-
For PVE, its useless.
-
guess you havent done ordeal nightfalls yet
-
Not even good in ordeal nightfalls.
-
Leviathan is clearly not designed to be DPS, so saying it's the worst by using DPS as a metric is stupid.
I mean, what is it good for then? Because everything about it is worse than sleeper with and without the catalyst. Sleeper charges faster, does more damage, holds more ammo. Everything. And sleeper is pretty much unusuable in the last 4 raids.
-
Its just a niche exotic to free up a kinetic or energy slot using unstoppable rounds bc the exotic perk has built in unstoppable rounds... it not meant for boss slaying... good news is only one player in your fire team needs to run it.
-
The gun is designed around unstoppable enemies, same goes for Eriana’s Vow.
-
I'd say mechanically Leviathan is a better pick than Sleeper for Crucible. Maybe for Gambit invasions too if you feel like it. Sure it's not the best weapon there is, but I'd wager Jade Rabbit, Wish-Ender, Malfeasance, Skyburner's and Borealis are much worse than Leviathan in the exotic slot.
-
Nope not at all. With the scout buff, Jade Rabbit and Skyburner's are actually not bad at all. Wish-Ender isn't great, but it isn't awful, more of a niche weapon than anything. Malfeasance is phenomenal in Gambit and not too shabby in activities with Taken involved. Borealis is pretty nasty in Gambit as well, swap to void and break an Envoys shield then run to invade and proceed to body shot kill your enemies. The weapons you listed are certainly 'niche'. But they actually do what they do well. Levi's Breath... doesn't do enough damage, it's sluggish, and a primary can fulfill it's niche better than it can.
-
All of those are good to use in Gambit, Malfeasance more so against invasions, but still usable for invasions. With the draw time that Leviathan has I don't see it beating any of those exotics, and that's sad especially if Borealis is in that group.
