There are way too many mechanics and tactics in pvp that are low risk, high reward, and very accessible. What uses to be niche and just for fun is now the meta and I find it unhealthy. OEM, the current bottom tree striker, teamshooting with midas, max range shotguns and fusion rifles, single shot grenades used fired as a death balling premade, etc. All of these are way too potent for the amount of effort on needs to execute them. There is barely anything that rewards good fundamentals and a plethora of things that have ridiculous range and one shots without the need of precision like erentil or any precision archetype shotgun. I can quite easily go on a 10 kill spree just by using the Jotunn and teamshooting the first person foolish enough to venture around a corner because the radar is so ambiguous that they'll never know if it's just one person or a 6 man premade until they get melted instantaneously. Most commonly for me, I'm in a dual and random teams from either side join in the fight. I appreciate support fire but when its applied to everything, it dull the experience and becomes a numbers game. Who brings more OEM strikers or bullets to a fight. Barely any individuality at play. its bogus things like that that twist your arm as a solo player to stay group because you are always reminded how powerless you are when hosed down by a wall of people. This is exacerbated to the power of 10 in iron banner, where the most toxic loadouts are prevalent every match.
