It’s as if people only find chasing power level fun and everything else is nothing but a chore. It’s a game. Have fun playing the activities that you enjoy and skip the ones you don’t.

I could peel my fingernails off for fun too, but this and all of the things you've listed physically hurt me. It takes a real sadist to enjoy doing work for the sake of doing work with no form of payment via drops and upgrades (this is a looter shooter). These are also likely the people that shovel money into eververse.
It takes a real sadist to enjoy doing work for the sake of doing work
It takes a real sadistic to play a game that they don’t enjoy just for the sake of raising a number.

I don't play anymore. I'm just here to stoke the flames while I'm at work or pooping.

My last time I did anything in the game was a couple of weeks ago. Might want to look again. My power level is still only 907.

Of all the hive minded idiots here, at least you're honest.

I appreciate that. Maybe in another game we could even be friends.

I would upvote thousand times this if I could so I just praise you to the skies for this common sense post.

Editado por Benanater15: 10/21/2019 9:41:54 AMI remember playing games like Halo 3 where there was not always an objective, but rather to just play and have fun. I had countless hours of fun just playing custom games or PvP in general. I also had fun with personal goals, like finding skulls, and trying to beat the campaign with skulls on. While I still today have fun just playing Crucible or doing strikes, I believe part of the problem is how Destiny has changed our way of gaming. I was just talking to a friend last night about how I wasn't sure if I could go back to just playing purely for fun, without it giving me some kind of reward. The answer is yes, I could play Crucible even if I got no rewards, but it wouldn't be the same as when I used to do the same in Halo. I love Destiny, but I believe it has caused gamers to always be looking for what rewards they are getting out of the experience, rather than how much fun they are having. While rewards in a game like Destiny are important, it seems that there is little distinction between rewards and fun. Perhaps other gamers feel differently, but that's how it seems things are now.

I remember playing Halo4 PVP and when the “Team Husky raid” map dropped when you ran downhill and tried to get up the other side to get the flag and all that dropped was rocket launchers, sniper rifles and plasma cannons. Geez that was so much fun.
-
I think you should capital bold and underline the word fun as I think he's not getting that part.
-
Patrols are fun, the fuk?
-
If, out of 20 things, you can only question one of them, then you're nitpicking and your retort actually serves to support his claim
-
Its fun sometimes to explore, messing around doing bounties...finding secrets...looking for lore without a youtube guide..etc...
-
I’ve seen people over the years post that patrols are their main source of entertainment in Destiny so for them, yes, patrols are fun.
-
I think that’s a pretty niche thing to have fun with though. Most patrols take maybe two minutes tops and there’s no reason to do them.
-
there’s no reason to do them.
I think you missed the point in your nit pick.
-
Point being? They’re not fun, they’re two minutes long, incredibly boring and easy tasks (kill ten of x), and the “exploring” someone else mentioned would be a lot more fun if we weren’t already familiar with the place. What is fun about patrols?

What is fun about patrols?
Point being that there are plenty of activities to choose from in this game to do for fun and to stop treating everything as a chore. If someone doesn’t find any of the options to be fun than why even play? What’s the point in getting max power in a game that one thinks isn’t fun to play in the first place? Patrols are not fun “for you”. That’s fine. Go do one of the other activities. Some people do find enjoyment over doing nothing but taking their time with running patrols all night while talking with friends.
