I got Destiny 2 on Steam while it was free for the promotion. Went ahead and installed it, but didn't play. A week or two after October 1st, I launched Destiny. A warning about proceeding pops up where I find out there's this new fancy CrossSave feature so I can take my old PS4 characters and play them on my PC. Cool! Went ahead and set that up. Made the PS4 my main account, linked to steam. All lights were green. I went back into the game, restarted it and was greeted by an empty character roster and the same warning message. Started a character, and everything seemed to work out fine.
In perusing bungie.net today I find out that there's no record of that PC character at all. And I absolutely cannot find a way to square my steam account with my bungie account. All indicators show that everything is synched and working, when it clearly is not.
I'm okay with losing the PC character and grinding again, I just want to be able to take advantage of all the connected features and cannot with that PC character.
Any help would be massively appreciated, thanks!

If you log in on Steam and do not see your Playstation characters available, then the issue you're having is that the Steam account you linked to your Bungie.net profile is different from the one you're logging into the Steam client with. Please go to your Bungie.net Settings, then to Accounts & Linking, and you can see the associated name of the Steam account you have linked. You'll need to log into Steam using that Steam account in order to access your Cross-Save characters.
