So I finally made it to 900, but since I have only been playing about a month I have encountered a problem with leveling my characters. Since I do not have a stock pile of cores or shards I can't level my armor or weapons. It would be nice to be able to increase intellect, discipline or strength but that takes shards as does increased weapon perks like range or stability. It takes cores to buy upgrade materials, now we get an abundance of blue drops while legendarys are significantly lower drop rates. Which makes it hard to advance in the game without the materials. Shards seem to be used for alot of your infusion and upgrades. You can get some from spider but as a new player it is very hard to advance with out the shards let alone cores. Why is this so hard to get cores or shards. It holds players back and is frustrating

Put on the blue armor and weapons and keep equipping the higher blue gear as it drops. Until you get high enough to 950 where legendaries start dropping higher. Im a veteran player and we all look like trashcans for a while when there is a light level increase

I wouldn’t bother messing with any armor or weapons, not even infusing. Ya gotta be much higher before looking into playing favorites. Keep what you like and have the powerful stuff on hand, the game should still give out higher rewards Another thing would be to find a favorite among common sources like vanguard, crucible etc, then it’s just a matter of infusing the exact item with glimmer

You do realize that as a new person I can not increase my strength, intellect, granade refresh ect without cores/shards. As a new player you have crap weapons way under power so crucible is a pub stomp. With out mobility you are a slow turtle that can't move out of it's own way. D1 wasnt this idiotic

Editado por Shadow: 10/19/2019 7:17:52 PMJust wait bungie always nerfs and caters to new ppl. Maybe they’ll give 950 skip item with 10k cores while everyone who plays gets the shaft :)

Most of the content is easy enough where you don't need to boost up your favorite gear to your current light. Just wear what you get. Just save materials until you really need it, like high level nightfalls, raids, iron banner.

Don’t worry about builds now just get to 950 first. When you there you can start building your gear and hopefully you have some stock pile by then to use to infuse. No need to waste resources now on modules
