Genius move bungie, make us do your stupid iron banner quest just to earn back the right to use tokens that we already had before, so we can earn old weapons from last year. This doesn't make iron bammer pointless or anything at all!

Who cares if people hoard tokens? Exactly how does that negatively impact anyone personally? Locking packages behind the quest is stupid.
-
2 RespuestasThe entire token economy is broken because they didn't make enough loot for people to chase. Now they have no idea what to do except to artificially prevent people from using tokens that they HAD ALREADY SPENT THE TIME OBTAINING.
-
7 RespuestasI agree. Not everyone wants to do the quest. If I complete bounties for pinnacle gear and earn tokens in the process I should be able to spend them without having to complete a multi-step quest. Some just want the bounties and be done. Should be able to spend the tokens we earned. Bad move Bungie.
-
4 RespuestasWas a piss take move by Bungie, although thankfully I did it and got a good few worthwhile enhanced mods once I could redeem tokens.
-
3 RespuestasGuys, guys... it takes like an hour or two to complete that quest. It's seriously not that hard. Pulse rifle kills? Slap on a Vigilance Wing or Outbreak or some shit. Fusion rifle kills? Jotunn or any fusion rifle with Backup Plan. SMG kills? Recluse. Boom, quest complete. Literally one game of each weapon type and the rest of the quest completes itself.
-
To the people saying the quest is easy; sure, it is. But does it really need to be there? It just feels like a pointless wall to your rewards and I struggle to think of another Vendor that doesn’t let you turn in tokens until you do some side quest, especially one that you could turn tokens in to prior
-
22 RespuestasDid the whole thing in like 2 1/2 hours. And at 916. Now I’m almost 930. Git Gud.
-
9 RespuestasThe quest is easy. Seriously, in the time you've complained about it you probably could have been done. Once I started trying to complete it, it only took, at most, two matches per step.
-
only reason it exists is to keep people from turning in thousands of ib tokens from past seasons for wnhanced perms without touching the playlist. even with the quest and without a token stash, ib is the best source of those crispy enhanced perks, having that gated by a short quest seems more than fair
-
1 RespuestaSpeaking of tokens. I still have hundreds if not thousands of tokens from the early days of Destiny 2. Can I cash those all in? They are pretty useless right?
-
2 RespuestasTakes 2 days to unlock! Shut up meg!
-
17 RespuestasThey’ve done it because people hoard tokens, I had 1400 or something like that. It used to be OK to play a game mode then save tokens up until the next season when new things became available. While I’d much rather have had things remain as they were before the introduction of IB quests Bungie have decided that’s not what they want to happen so had a choice of 1. reset IB tokens to 0 at the start of a new season 2. put in some type of requirement and unlock engram access only after it’s completed Option 1 is obviously going to attract massive amounts of negative feedback. While option 2 isn’t going to be universally popular it’s definitely the better choice. In my opinion the biggest issue is that it’s character based and not account wide.
-
It was either this, or have tokens expire after each season. Bungie has learned that there are plenty of dumb (will clarify in a bit) hoarders that will cash in the 1,000 or so tokens from previous IB, get the armor set, then never step foot in a match. These are also the same people that will "claim" that IB is trash, or that they got the armor in one day, trying to indicate skill in some way. The fact that upgrading Saladin is still only 20 tokens I'm actually very happy about. Doing all of his bounties will give you ten rewards.
-
Well no one would be playing IB and just using old stacked tokens that way.
-
Most of the quest is retroactive. Could be completed in a little over an hour. you were unable to turn in your tokens without playing a couple games first...... the horror. 🙄
-
It's not hard to do and when you're done you'll have a nice stock of about 375 coins like I did after
-
1 RespuestaDude the questvtake about an hour...
-
It was a good thing for me, I turned in the pinnacle rewards before I had armour unlocked on my first, to guarantee I'd have the weapons at the best light. These transfer across all three then to bump up their light.
-
4 RespuestasIt’s essentially a quest to be able to acquire enhanced perks. It’s a form of PvP endgame if you will. Aside from the map rotation lacking, the quest itself isn’t difficult.
-
3 Respuestas
This doesn't make iron bammer pointless or anything at all!
You really can't see the forest for the trees.
-
2 RespuestasThey literally did the same thing last season. No one said anything and talked crazy to me when I did. We didn't get any new weapons last season either and no one said anything.
-
2 RespuestasI haven't done the quest but Saladin is blinking because I have tokens in my inventory. There's no indication when I talk to him that I can't turn them in. Didn't try though because I don't want anything from him yet. I figured I'd just get weapons that I don't need.
-
It's really odd!! Aside from chucking in 15 levels for the triumph, I don't see a need to put any tokens in - armour drops post match and weapons are all old hat!
-
use head, and think why they do that
-
Yeah I was disappointed when I gave him tokens and then found out I can't open the packages until I completed the quest.
