It's not October yet but I don't care...
... Opinions on Halloween?...

October is The Best Time Of The Year! But every year I struggle to find (and define) the deep meaning of Halloween. I'd love to explore ways to recreate the holiday with others. I think I get tired of seeing cheap costumes and candy.

I -blam!-ing love spooky season. My friend and I (21 and 22 yrs old, respectively) blast Spooky Scary Skeletons all night on October 1st while we hang out. Every Halloween, we wear these stupid $40 masks that he buys and go out trick-or-treating in these makeshift costumes as a meme. A few years ago, I was the "Ghost of the Oversized Sweater" (my friend is 6'3, so I borrowed his hoodie). We always do these stupid voices at the doors, too. Of course, we still buy a few bags of candy from Walmart at the end of the night because you can never have enough candy.

9 RespuestasI know there is a very old holiday associated with it, but it's been the last option of candy, costumes, and just having fun with the macabre for decades. Haunted Hoses are fun jump scares and make lots of money for charitable causes, so it's all in good fun more than anything blatantly exalting evil. Kinda like Mexico's Day of the Dead, but with more sugar and alcohol, depending on the age group. By the way, candy corn sucks. They should stop making it.

Socially acceptable costume parties and mass amateur cosplays for about half a month. I don’t see a downside to this

Halloween is the only time of the year when furries are treated normally. /s Ok, joking aside, Halloween has begun to feel more boring to me. Sure you can go around scaring people, but you can do that any time of the year when people expect it less. Kids get more out of it through free candy, but you don't often see adults going up to you house asking for candy. [spoiler]If anything, they'd probably go up to houses asking for money just to scare you.[/spoiler] Decorating my house is out of the question since I'm still in college that day, and haunted houses never really interested me. What do others often do for Halloween to keep themselves entertained throughout the night?

Last year me and my family went trick or treating, me and my sister noticed that houses had 2 bowls, one for teens, one for kids, I only went for 13 houses before I gave up, my sister was in tears because someone yelled at her thinking she was 21, when in reality she’s 14... And while this is happening, we have idiot crotch gremlins running everywhere yelling “GivE Ma CaNDy”... I stoped tricker-treating after that...

Well it’s my nan and brother’s bdays on Halloween so I have that excuse....but it is definitely like the only day I can summon demons to feed on the souls of innocent children, without being treated like a pure maniac.

All I can say is I can assure you the demon summoned in the backyard is only as safe as the amount of candy you can offer it.

I love Halloween! It's litterly the only big holiday that doesn't put stress on you and it's whole purpose is to just have fun with it!

Well I live in AZ so October is around the time when temperature starts to go down, and the overall vibe of Halloween is just nice. Can't help but love the holiday
