I wont do raids anymore.
LFG is wayyy too toxic and all my friends and clanmates quit playing this game.
"Know what to do or get kicked"
"100+ clears will be checking"
"No noobs"
"Must have (enter meta here)"
Bungie is SEVERELY out of touch with the average player. Raids are way too mechanical so only the elite no-lifers on Bungies payroll can record themselves and make a tutorial.

Not everyone who enjoys raiding is a no-lifer. My husband and I have many raid clears under our belts and we are parents. We have Rivensbane and we are close to Shadow and Blacksmith. We only hop on at night after our daughter is in bed; thats 2 to 5 hours a night, depending on if its a work night or not. Raiding is my favorite part of this game honestly. Different strokes for different folks right?

You and your husband, that's already 2 + you mentioned "clannies" above, so you have everything needed to start a raid. He's talking about all the obstacles placed b4 those who are clanless, in an inactive clan, or who don't have friends to play with. Lfg is daunting because of the stupid requirements. In other words, it's HIGHLY stupid for a game like D2 to not have any decent match making mechanism up this point! It's so ridiculous to have to leave the actual game in order to find ppl to raid. Not having in game chat mechanisms up to this point is mind boggling!

The guy was a jerk, super cocky and full of himself, and lied about how many clears he had. If we ever NEED to LFG for something important, we will make a Reddit post early on in the day and plan ahead. The guys we found on Reddit for Petras Run were amazing. I know there are a lot of dead and inactive clans out there, but that's what the clan recruitment section of the forums are for. Husband and I were also in a dead clan once, so we went clan shopping. I swear, there are a lot of good active clans out there. You just have to take the time to look. 😊 And apps like Discord have made it SOOO much easier to communicate with your clan, or even if you just make your own server for you and your friends. Its a fun app, I promise! ❤ But yea, there are a ton of big active clans still out there. You just have to take the time to search the clan recruitment section and find the one thats right for you. 😄 Or even Reddit if the Companion App doesn't have anything that suits you.

I run a 95 person clan and a community of over 300 in discord and all we do is help people with raids. However I like to lfg on my own and help teams complete raids we well. And I have found that 90 percent of players are open to helping others. Now I don’t mean a 5 hour fiasco. A new player bears the responsibility of learning what they can through videos and mechanic explanations. However few mechanics require every player to do something difficult. So if I were you (the ones complaining about toxic masculini.... I mean toxic lfg you should keep trying. And you know what eventually you will form a team of regulars. And that’s when the raids really get fun. Happy hunting.

It was and still is 95 percent ps4. But I amd a few others switched to PC so I am building that part of it now.

LFG for Raid is toxic as hell. But for the rest it's pretty good. Played with so much friendly and fun people from all over the world. Best experience to have!!

It's been this way for years. My buddies and I tried the Leviathan raid right after it launched. Two quit after 30 minutes of wiping. The 2 that came in to replace them screamed so much at us I left and never went back. It's a toxic environment and I don't understand why Bungie doesn't give a shit.

I actually watched a video last week by arekkz titled is Shadowkeep worth returning for? He used to be a destiny youtuber but quit after D2s awful launch n now does all kinds of games. What I found interesting, as I only usually watch destiny vids or music so I'd never seen the comments from non destiny players, but the vast majority of replies, I'm talking 95%, where either 'destiny the game that constantly asks you for money and makes things you worked for, irrelevant' or 'the destiny community is really toxic, no way am I going back'. This was rarely said in D1 but in D2 it does indeed feel very elitist, be good or be kicked, have 50 clears I'll check, don't die etc. I remember the Luna/NF meta, seemed every had Luna/NF and a bungie store emblem. It's a very small community now, or toxic elitist A holes. Bungie don't help things either. Oh new player, white guns, 0 resilience, go play a 5 stack from Peru with not forgotten.

That’s why you watch a YouTube video on each encounter before you do said raid then proceed to post ‘Fresh _______ Never completed but have a rough idea on what to do’ ppl will join might take a while but they will. Either that or you try the raid on day 1 when it’s fresh out and no one has a clue what they are doing
