Many people still declare this as the best Mario game of all time, as their personal favorite.
It's a strong contender for my overall favorite game ever. Hbu?

18 RespuestasThe game has helped define amazing games that came after it in the series like Odyessy along with it being one of the best video games on the N64 which brought Mario into the 3rd dimension in a very good way. Not many games switched to 3-D well but Mario took to it like a duck to water which lots of people didn't expect. The controls have gotten a bit worse over time but the game has still defined people's childhoods. I'm glad it exists, even if I sadly haven't been able to play it before.

1 Respuestayes it’s not 69

8 RespuestasOnly played some levels here and there, never all the way through. It looks very good, though. Suffers a bit from its now dated controls (but still feels better to play than Galaxy) but it still has some great level design, and I miss the days when Mario games weren't afraid to get a bit dark and creepy.

Never could get past the first level. (Bomb bois) Story time! I have a DSi, played it when I was younger. I didn’t know how video games worked nor did I know where the games came from. The MARIO 64 I had was probably pirated or download onto a chip cause it was not in a dedicated SD card. Everytime I beat the first level, it would crash. It got so bad that eventually I just stopped playing. Now this was a long time ago and I did not understand instructions so... I might have been replaying the level for no good reason. I’m pretty sure it crashed though... And that’s the story!

6 RespuestasNostalgia my friend. Everyone judges a game to today's standards. It's what you grew up with and appreciated that makes it so good. Will I play it now? Maybe drunkenly with friends and be like "oh shit you remember that?". But not seriously. I probably overplayed it but I have no intention on playing it again 20 years later.

3 RespuestasI liked it back when it was new. It has not aged well though and does not really hold up to the newer 3D Mario's, still it is a classic and back in it's days it was revolutionary.

4 RespuestasI beat it on the DS, does that count? Other wise loved it.

8 RespuestasIt was great for it's time. Probably the only game that utilized the N64s software well.

1 RespuestaEditado por EL: 9/9/2019 7:39:22 AMI still play Dr. Mario often and I sorta binged played shortly after the NES classic was released. I admit that's one of my most played mario games so it probably has to be my favorite game in the series. idk? Also Double Dash that -blam!-ing fun

1 RespuestaEditado por ALIAS-F4LS: 9/9/2019 1:35:34 AMGreat game of it's time. I remember back in high school I rigged a USB stick to let me play Super Mario 64 and a few other games on the school computers. Teachers never could figure out how I did it. Kind of miss my old N64

5 RespuestasI played it once as a kid. Never replayed it. Though I did spend a large portion of my time trying to find yoshi on top of the castle. I just played DK64 more. Probably because of the multiplayer and use of the expansion pack.

1 RespuestaAs a kid, I never completed it, because back then I just replayed the same levels I liked over and over again. I did however beat it when the port was brought to the DS.

3 RespuestasEvery time I hear Bob-Omb Battlefield or Dire Dire Docks, it just reminds me of a time from my childhood that I'll never experience again

6 RespuestasIt was fine.

10 RespuestasI didn't play the original but I played the DS port, although the controls was odd and it took a minute to get used to but once you get used to it, it's actually pretty fun
Luigi is overpowered lol
9 RespuestasI wanna play super Mario galaxy again

3 RespuestasBack then it was awesome. Now it's just nostalgia.

29 RespuestasIt’s pretty good, but also kinda overrated. Sunshine & Odyssey beat it, and I’d say it’s probably tied with Galaxy.

1 RespuestaSo, it's been a long time since I played it, but if I remember properly it was a pretty solid platformer that still holds up pretty well considering it's age.
