In my opinion, Destiny 2 Vanilla had the right idea for a balanced crucible, it just didn't have enough spice in it to keep the power fantasy going. Gunfights were overall more skillful. One shots were limited and gave an overall more fun experience. Don't give me that bullshmidt about "the teamshot meta." Anyone can teamshot no matter what kind of meta there is. In fact, it's even worse now. You just get melted even faster now. Instead of reverting back to the Frankenstein weapon system we have now, they should have broke the rules with weapon types some more.
For all those yugioh fans out there, you know how Pendulum Summoning broke all the rules? Extra Deck Pendulum Monster hybrids? Using monsters as Spells? That's what we should have done. You know how the Legend of Acrius was the "Heavy Shotgun" that could absolutely unleash carnage? They should have made more heavy ammo shotguns like that. Then, they could make the special ammo shotguns be the "Light Shotguns." Think like the Invective. Most of the time it's 2 shots, but can be a one shot under the right circumstances. My point? We keep the overkill 1 shots to heavy ammo, and we keep the skillful one shots exclusive to special ammo. You want a badass gun? Use badass ammo.
They should have also experimented with weapon types more. Make versions of primary ammo weapons types that take special ammo, or even soup up special ammo weapon types into heavy ammo weapons. Oh, and make this NOT exclusive to Exotics. These weapons would have TTK comparable to Destiny 1 weapons that actually kept shotguns in check (Nirwen's mercy, Last Word, Thorn).
For example, they could have made "Light Machine Guns," which I imagine would be auto rifles that take special ammo and hit harder, while we convert the heavy ammo machine guns to "Heavy Machine Guns."
This, adding back the special ammo crate system from Destiny 1, and NOT HAVING HEAVY SPAWN IN THE FIRST 15 SECONDS, would ease up the power escalation in crucible. This would not only make it more enjoyable, but more skillful.
For example, 1 shot LFRs like the sleeper would still use heavy ammo, but the 2 bodyshot LFRs would use special ammo *cough* arbalest. All you "teamshot meta" conspiracy idiots would finally be happy, because you will be able to "even the odds" with your 1 shots. Basically, we could have had the power fantasy we wanted, without all of the frankly ridiculous 1 shot aping going on now. PvP was ruined because the sandbox team was uncreative and caved into the demands of people who just wanted easy kills.
On a separate note, let's be honest with ourselves. WE NEED 4V4 BACK for the smaller maps. 6v6 should be exclusive to the bigger maps, and they both should have playlists for people who prefer the other one. Crucible has always been a clustertruck in D1 with 6v6, and D2 is no exception. This crap isn't fun. It's just a bunch of sweaty 6 stacks snowballing supers for the rest of the match. Adjusting the team size to what these maps were ORIGINALLY INTENDED FOR would intrinsically solve this issue.
All of this is from the mind of a D1 veteran who was top 1% in Rumble (in D1, mind you) according to guardian.gg and destinytracker, so you can't say I'm bad and "git gud," because I flourished in a meta comparable to, if not, far worse than this one. In fact, I'm arguing for the return of individual skill.
I already know I'm gonna get flamed by the crybaby shotgun apes. I know you can't handle the idea of your 20m 1 shots being taken away. Deep down inside, you know I'm not talking nonsense in this post, trust.

Only super that is good for pvp is golden gun. No resilience, lasts few seconds and needs even bit of aim. Heavys should be max once per match and in respawn you get 2 special ammo and no drops for more. That would be the ideal pvp atleast for me. Supers you can kill ( or no supers at all) no heavy spam and no shotgun aping 😍

2 RespuestasTeam play shouldn't feel the same as Rumble though. So gratz on your Rumble prowess in D1. But D2Y1 pvp, wasn't fun for me. The team shot mentality in pvp, out side of competitive playlists, is just not as fun in general, imo. Since they reintroduced 6v6, as long as you aren't up against a 6 stack, with good communication, it's way more enjoyable now. In 4v4, flanking wasn't nearly as possible. Because it made the most sense to just stick with the other 3 players and always shoot in the same direction as at least 1 of your teammates. I don't know why adding 4 more players to the match, seems to change the feel so much, but it does. I feel I can flank opponents more, and can survive 1v2 situations, more frequently, than in the 4v4 matches. Just my opinions of course.

2 RespuestasI kept running into full teams of hardscoping snipers with recluses in Iron Banner. They kill my teammate and then push me with their boosted recluse. I'd be fine with Recluse if the perk only procced on Recluse kill. Also I hate flinch in this game, it's annoying.

3 RespuestasThe problem with 6v6 is not the size of the maps. If the maps were larger, it would make no difference because every map has hallways and obstacles that are collective points where gamers take cover. 6v6 is a chaotic mini mayhem that is no fun. Nearly every moment you are responding to some threat, and if you get spawn trapped by 2 or more enemies, you cannot rejoin your team until after you have been killed a couple times. I would really like to see a return of 4v4. It would bring less chaotic play and decrease the chance of solo players getting matched against multiple organized teams.
