Go back to d1 style dlc

annual pass and now battle pass this type of content it's working on games like fortnite and apex not for a game like destiny that needs stories missions, raids, strikes and pvp maps The entire d2 it's a mess so I'm not going to waste my money on this game until it's fixed

 • Posts like these having majority upvotes is how I know this forum is full of toxic D1 fanboys. The Dark Below, House of Wolves, and then Taken King were all extremely similar in size and scope to Curse of Osiris, Warmind, and then Forsaken. Now we have Shadowkeep, which looks like it'll follow suit in size and scope to Rise of Iron. So I struggle to understand what unique/ different DLC style we would be "going back to" with the D1 model. We are already being offered the exact same things. You're problem, it seems, is that we are actually being offered more, on top of this, and you don't want it. You may not have liked the previous 3 seasons, but in their place for the same time period following the Taken King was ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. So are we asking to go back to the no-DLC model??? Everyone has their panties twisted because of the "battle pass", but it really doesn't change a thing. It's simply added value to anyone who would have bought the seasons anyway. The one thing that is going to be new/uncomfortable to Destiny players are seasonal activities that come and go. There seem to be both positives and negatives to this and we simply need more time to see what Bungie does with the world to know if this path is better than what we've experienced before. I tend to think this can work out well. Why? Go back and look at the D1 director. It's barren compared to the current D2 version. D2 is already a MUCH bigger game and has much more content than the former. There's already plenty to build from and evolve in the next year or two, at which time we'll all want an updated D3 for new console/PC tech anyway. So please, for the love of god, stop trying to compare more content to the objectively inferior offering of less/no content.
