Every game is implementing a battle pass. Not because it’s trying to Be fortnight. But because the battle pass in itself is a great idea. You reward players with passive loot for just playing the game. It’s honestly a great idea. Free loot for doing what you where gonna do anyway.

I hope you like renting content that disappears in a couple of weeks, like the artifact and seasons. The empty feeling you will get after a season ends where you will feel like you completely wasted your time and money is like no other.

No it is not. They are giving away old content, 2 strikes and the patrol zone on the moon away. Everything else new you must purchase going forward.

I would suggest looking at Warframe again. Cosmetics? Definitely not free. Core game elements? Yes. All of the Shadowkeep/Pass stuff is a la carte. Now, it may be confusing because that's a different language, but that means you don't need it to play the game. It's on the side. So, Destiny New Light is free to play.

Yes but if you want to play the full Destiny game you still have to pay for Shadowkeep/Annual Pass content. Still not free to play entirely. Also you can ge all the cosmetics in Warframe free by trading other players for the premium currency. Please do research before complaining. I feel this is as bad as that guy who tried telling me Destiny came out before Warframe and hence Warframe copied Destiny.
