If you try to stop mass shooters by banning guns they'll switch to bombs or trucks or maybe both. What are you gonna do ban fertilizer? It's actually a lot easier to defend yourself in a mass shooting than in a situation with a bomb or truck too.
For example. You can wear level iv body armor everywhere. I've got a plate carrier in my room. But if crazy people started mass bombing places twice a week I'd have to buy a flak jacket. I can't afford that. How the -blam!- I'm gonna go to school in a flak jacket? And if some hits you with a truck nothing is gonna save you.
So I'm of the opinion that mass shootings are inherently safer than the alternative.
Alternatively we could ask the obvious question of what's causing people to become so alienated they decide to engage in mass murder? But no one actually cares.

4 RespuestasSo allow more crazies access to guns because they may realize that they may be able to get more kills with a car or that they could learn to create a bomb? Lol na. Identify and monitor the crazies while restricting their access to guns.

Or they could continue to use guns...

1 RespuestaI'm actually a huge proponent for gun control. The safest gun is one I control.

It's truly a surreal life in America when people suggest wearing body armor that is bullet resistant as an everyday occurrence, much like mass shootings in America are a daily occurrence. I'm personally a big proponent of gun control because I prefer someone who is using a firearm to be of sound mind and actually know what they're doing rather than someone who is mentally unstable or doesn't know how to use a firearm. Being pro-gun control doesn't equate to being pro-gun prohibition.

9 RespuestasIt's also important to remember that guns are an incredible equalizing force. Banning guns is directly depriving women, minorities, the elderly, and the otherwise physically disabled the ability to protect themselves against attackers. Average police response time is what? a little under six minutes at best? That's a long damn time to play hide and seek and hope the police show up before the armed thugs that broke down your door find you. But give them a gun and teach them how to use it? Suddenly the weak and disparaged are on even footing with those who would do them harm. And banning guns is only going to take that away from them.

I do not want a ban on guns, I just want the government to put some more restrictions on guns

19 RespuestasI have a question to all. If someone had a gun ready to shoot you. Do you want to say “Wait, that’s illegal” Or do you want to just shoot him before he shoots you?

5 RespuestasIf they could use bombs I'm sure they would, banning guns eliminates one problem, how's that a bad thing?

We should just do what Ireland does and let people have guns while increasing bg checks and restrictions.

3 RespuestasArent bombs far more expensive and difficult to(a) purchase and (b) make? Doesnt seem like a fair comparison.

End of the day nothing changes, with the media showing what the shooters are doing. You are just signalling to other like minded people the do's and don'ts to mass shootings. God help you more people don't take inspiration from the Las Vegas shooter.

2 Respuestasjust ban schools.

7 RespuestasWhen it comes to schoolkids going postal, I'd bet money its rooted in side effects from pharmaceuticals and/or unchecked mental illness. Unfortunately with how politically "entrenched" both the NRA and Big Pharma are... good luck making any -blam!-ing headway on that one lol

38 RespuestasI’d take my chances avoiding a truck over a bullet thank you very much.

2 RespuestasPerfect and right on on the last paragraph especially. Why are they shooting up schools? Because they are vulnerable. That's why we need more guards in our schools. I would say teachers, but so many of those are whack jobs who are Antifa and the like.

9 RespuestasMass shootings and government-sponsored oppression are really the same thing: people with guns preying on people without. In a gun-equipped society, there is the risk of mass shootings. In a gun-banned society, there is the risk of government oppression. The difference between the two is that you can oppose a mass shooting by carrying a gun of your own.

Well......I may not agree entirely but it makes a lot of sense and I cant be mad at it. Interesting read and position.
-
Yeah I think they would already be using bombs if that was really going to happen
