Character progress is stored on Bungie's servers. Cross save just makes it so that you can select one set of characters to be used on all platforms. It doesn't say that you also get to have free copies of the software on those platforms.

Kinda misleading to title the feature cross save then since it's not a true cross save.

Game anywhere is a Microsoft feature for their games. That is something that PS4 isn't going to offer especially since PC is still a Microsoft product.

Apple is PC Dell is PC HP is PC Steam and Bent hold those rights.

Sorry Mr. Semantics Apple is MacOS PC Dell is Windows PC (Which your forced to buy the windows license), Dell doesn't make their on OS HP is Windows PC (Which your forced to but the windows license), HP doesn't make their on OS You can only play Destiny on "Windows" PC, cannot play on Linux or MacOS. So either way you look at it you are using a Microsoft product (Windows) to play games on PC, unless you buy a whole new copy of Destiny on Stadia, where you have to stream it. But, I pretty sure some that cost still goes back to Microsoft because of the patents they own.

What are you even getting at here? Destiny 2 is not a Play Anywhere title regardless of what semantics you play.

Either live with it or keep crying wolf.
