Title.
Should be an alternate pathway besides just cores and mats. You gain expertise with a weapon by using it a lot, not just by stuffing mats into it.

1 RespuestaGood idea though
-
Exp should've been the only way. Save the cores for infusion and maybe rerolling exotics and mw stat etc.
-
2 RespuestasNah, I’d rather 26 million more upgrade materials, especially with how much we all ‘loved’ cores.

1 RespuestaEditado por ScrubLord199901: 8/22/2019 6:56:21 PMWanna know something funny? They're going to be adding EXTRA MATERIALS and INCREASING THE COST for masterworking (possibly infusing) gear. Bungie : Enhancement cores aren't going anywhere. Also Bungie : We're adding more materials and increasing the cost of masterworking (possibly infusing as well) gear. Sigh...

Masterworks for armor has always been "Meh" but I like the idea for weapons cuz the more you use it you are technically "Mastering" the weapon by gaining XP with it.
-
1 RespuestaLike In D1. Not sure why this isn't the case. I guess when you nerf everything so often it would be a bitter pill to swallow. Grinding xp only to have your fully leveled up exotics rendered useless. This WILL 100% be a cause for backlash when artifacts are removed at season end. I have my seat and popcorn ready!

7 RespuestasEditado por PAPASITO 30: 8/22/2019 10:00:29 PMYes XP you earn should convert into Motes of Light which you can then slot into armor to masterwork it. Delete Enhancement cores from the game, go back to Motes of Light. I preferred that was a simpler thing. I just hate the word enhancement to be gin with, sounds like male enhancement, and we all get plenty of those emails in our spam folder.
-
Wow, similar to D1, yet vastly improved? It’s not like this is a sequel or anything
-
I agree that masterwork cores should literally be used to ‘masterwork’ the weapon. The only time it goes from being a normal to master worked weapon is the final 9>10 level. That’s it! The levels in between are not masterworking the weapon. The are progressing it TOWARDS becoming a masterwork.
-
1 RespuestaWhat’s the point of masterworking armour?
-
-
2 RespuestasLike how we had to unlock perks for guns and armor in D1? I hated that system.
-
You mean like in D1 how just playing would unlock the different nodes on weapons and armor?
-
The masterwork core farming is lame. Infusion costs are too damn high. lol This would be a way better way to improve weapons and add to fun over farming. Farming sucks. There’s no need for it, but it permeates every facet of this game.
-
Would dig that idea, but BRB. Gotta farm some Relic Iron.
-
3 RespuestasI think enhancement cores should be recieved upon leveling up like we had motes of light in D1
-
Armor Masterwork tier are Random as far as i know. You could get a fully Masterworkd one with a bit of luck. As for the Weapons go they can trop at max tier 5, at least thats what drops max for me.
-
1 RespuestaDo the bounties. When Shadowkeep drops you can do bounties for cores and XP for leveling up. Do the bounties.
-
That both makes too much sense and sounds way too RPG-esque. Bungo would never do it...........again.
-
Editado por heat5360: 8/22/2019 2:01:56 PMtake it a step further. the style of kills, precision, multikill, bodyshot, boss , or whatever should influence the resulting bonus .
-
1 RespuestaHonestly, this seems like a cool addition, if not a change. Implement a mastery system where getting kills with a masterwork increases your mastery of that weapon, mastery increasing all your stats slightly. Headshots increase mastery(+2),multikills increase mastery slightly more (+3) headshot kills increase mastery even more(+4), missing shots decreases mastery slightly (-1). Not using a weapon for a day decreases mastery (-20) (cannot negatively impact stats beyond base masterworked stats).

Bungie Luke- mmmmmm🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 ........... No Bungie Luke out
-
3 RespuestasWhile I do agree I would like to change one thing, to prevent players from farming ep or the thrall room in the whisper make it require boss kills instead (from teir 5 or 6 and onward)
-
The D1 days...
-
2 RespuestasI would like to obtain a masterwork from xp gained. I do not want to level up weapons like D1 again. I enjoy using my perks when first getting a weapon.
-
Since its an alternative not a replacement I actually love this idea, this gives players the choice to either grind the weapon out or simply use their materials whenever they want to masterwork it as fast as possible.
