PC Move is only for moving your Blizzard account entitlements to Steam. Cross-save (available tomorrow) is for using a single platform character save across multiple platforms.
But yes, you can set your Xbox account as your main for cross-save and use it on PC (Blizzard tomorrow, Steam later).

Are you saying that we should cross save from console to blizzard first and then do the PC move? And if so, then how do we cross save from say psn to blizzard?
-
Thank you! I was a little scared to do it but now I have!
-
What if you already have a copy of Destiny on Battle.net and you want your console save to be your main? Will that still work?
-
Cross-save is for character save data only. The DLC entitlements are platform-specific, i.e. you need to own the content on each platform you intend to play on. For example: - Set PS4 account as cross-save account to play only on PC: Must own content only on PC - Set PS4 account as cross-save account to play on PC and PS4: Must own content on PC and PS4

Yo i got it all working fine on PC (from PS4) i cant seem to use one peace of gear tho it says "requires different platform" this item is called "mimetic savior bond"
-
The Mimetic armor set as well as Wavesplitter trace rifle are still exclusive to PS4. This will change in Shadowkeep; no more platform exclusives.
-
so let me get this clear, if I want to play my ps4 account right now I would have to buy Forsaken on PC so I can transfer all my grind and then get the new expansion before Oct 1st otherwise I gotta grind everything again if I don't transfer
-
Not exactly. If you set your PS4 account as the cross-save account, everything you have grinded on that account will be included in your character save and will move with you from platform to platform. If you wish to play Forsaken content on PC, then you need to buy it there. However, if you rather go back to PS4 for Forsaken content and just play Shadowkeep on PC, then you'd only need Shadowkeep on PC. The Battle.net to Steam transfer is for migrating all your PC licenses over and is separate from cross-save.
-
Yea i have year 1's DLC forsaken and annual pass on PS4 but only the first years content on battle.net I have not paid for shadow keep at all yet
-
This would mean that even though you may have earned Forsaken gear on PS4 and you can equip/use them on PC, you will not be able to access any Forsaken content unless you get Forsaken on PC. Shadowkeep bundles do not include Forsaken at this time.

Here is my specific problem. I have pc and PS4 accounts active. When I set up cross save yesterday my PS4 account was no where to be found. When t asked me to confirm anything about my characters it was only my pc account that showed up. Yes I’ve linked all the relevant platforms. But I am concerned t will auto save my Battle.net acct instead of the one I want which is my PS4.
-
What you set up yesterday was linking for the PC Move, i.e. migration of Battle.net licenses to Steam. Cross-save becomes linkable today.
-
After exhaustive research it appears that my PS4 acct is safe and sound. I’ve seen that same response posted a few times but it doesn’t actually tell me anything. I realize cross save is active today but my concern is what account is linked to it. If you are tasked with responding to these types of posts then realize you know much, much more about this than we do. So saying cross save is active today doesn’t actually alleviate any concerns. But as I said after reading the 1000s of posts that are asking the very same question I did I did find some more detailed answers that make me feel better about linking my bnet acct. so basically when I log on today I will see my PS4 acct as an option to load into. If that doesn’t happen I’ll come back here in an attempt to find out why.

Editado por suttungur: 8/21/2019 4:36:40 PMSetting up the cross-save is a manual process, it will not be done automatically without your consent. So, whatever account you wish to set up as your cross-save account, you can. When the feature becomes available in about 30 minutes. If you haven't read the FAQ yet: https://www.bungie.net/7/en/CrossSave

Editado por PLNB0019: 8/21/2019 4:53:33 PMNow that seems pretty clear. Thx for all the help I can see you supplying here on the forums. We are excited to take our skills to pc and push back on the big boys!

ok so i should link my accounts and then buy forsaken and annual pass when its available on steam or can i buy it now on Battle.net?
-
You can do it either way. Whatever changes you make to your Blizzard account before Oct 1 will get transferred over to Steam. Or you can purchase Forsaken on Steam when it becomes available at a later date.
-
I have just purchased forsaken and annual pass on battle.net but it is not coming up on the "my transfer details" page only year 1's content how can i fix this?
-
Some content missing from the transfer details is a known issue and is only an issue with the list displayed. All content will be transferred regardless of some missing from the list. See this: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/253269781?sort=0&page=0
