That’s a very slippery slope. I’ve never heard of a company selling what essentially is a seasonal event, just disappear after a certain time. Bungie is raising the stakes of what a live service can do

That's why you don't buy a season if you know you have other obligations. Seasons are purchased individually now, so you have the option to pay and play when you want and save your money when you cant.
-
Season, ha. Look at you, defending shít you don’t even know is coming. I haven’t put anything towards the next expansion pass combo. Enjoy it tho

No. In many interviews the past two months Bungie has said that D2 is at its limit when it comes to consoles and Shadowkeep is the last large update they can give the game wihtout it breaking. They are going to have to figure out a way to play around with what limited space they have till either 1 of two things happen. 1) Next gen consoles release. 2) Game cloud gaming becomes mainstream. The game single handily takes up 1/5th of your storage space on console and on PS4 they are clocking in Shadowkeep with D2 a total of 169 GBs which is almost half your storage space. The game also barely runs on consoles steady and adding more stuff makes it slog further and further. If people want new content Bungie has to make space for it.

Editado por Boss_KADA: 8/18/2019 12:38:16 AMThat doesn’t excuse anything in particular. And how of this “content” is new? What incentive is there to pay for content if it’ll just go away after a time? Better yet, what did think would happen, bringing a service like this to console? Next gen is coming, but by all means, keep that profit coming
-
That 100% excuses it thats a HARD WARE limitation. Thats 100% not on Bungie thats on Sony and Microsoft. What isnt excused is how Bungie handles their end using an old af engine and isnt compressing the files down well enough but even then the hard ware limitation is still there. Get that hard ware limitation removed then you can give them full grief for making content time limited but till then we are stuck with this, dont like it tuff it out or move on to another pasture for good or come back when it seems more appropriate to you.

Hardware’s didn’t stop warframe going on the Nintendo switch. But by all means, continuing telling me what to do
-
Warframe takes very little space and is not near the graphic intensity Destiny is at. So as far as warframe goes it can run on a potato.

Honestly, once you have e the rewards, how many seasonal activities do you continue playing?
-
I play as many as I need to, actually. I still do black armory bounties as they’re the best for leveling, and the only worth while bounties for other objectives that I do. I’m not grinding reckoning, I’ve kept my prime armor. Prime is way more fun. I’ve still got triumphs to do for menagerie. You don’t even have a clue what a seasonal activity is, dude. Get out of here
What incentive is there to pay for content if it’ll just go away after a time?
Loot? They never stated the loot itself will be ripped out of your character if you get it... plus they said the loot will comeback in later activities. They have to make a profit else they just sit on their arses for an entire year? You think that is wise?
-
Loot, ah yes. What type of reskin weapon/armor do I want this time, not even mentioning my own shaders to add You’re honestly asking me if that’s wise? We’re in Destiny 2, which has spent a good amount of time bringing things back from D1. It’s not like they have Eververse or their own store or anything. I hope you bought a couple of those $30 water bottles.
-
Mocks loot and then asks what the point is lol
-
At least I don’t feel a need to add more conversation to my posts. You’ve got nothing to stand on, like so many who try
-
Besides they only stated seasonal activities... shadowkeep your going to be keeping all that content that isn't going away. You also do realize right not all of that money is going towards Bungie until they get off the Blizzard Launcher? Then there is money they have to spend on PSN and Xbox for patches, those cost money, and they spent money partnering with Steam to be on that platform meaning all transactions through steam, xbox, and PSN a portion go towards those companies. Sure they get money, but they would have to take an entire year off of not developing content for D2 (at least on console) to then port it over to next gen consoles with an expansion almost day one on the new consoles and leave the playerbase that didn't upgrade behind.

Imagine if you had paid for this solstice event......
-
Yep, and imagine paying Eververse scale prices for limited content like that. I make the event priority in every game, but no everyone has the time to do it. Making it grindy out the gate wasn’t good either. Soon they’ll pull a stunt like the recent Apex event
