I must be the only one that likes pretty much all of these changes.

I was making peace with the bright dust thing and liking what I was hearing about level progression and how engagement was going to be more challenging. I'll be honest he had me in the first half, but then he said dlc's would go away at the end of each season. As someone that spent way more than 3 months grinding for 1k voices, dreaming city ship, black armory god rolls- this just isnt going to work for me. Completely just amazed that they think ppl are going to go for this FOMO crap.
-
Again, I'd agree with you but they're being transparent about it. If bungie had released it and said "oh hey btw this shits gone in 3 months lol" but since they're being transparent about their limited-time event schematic, I'm all good. Working in full-stack development, I understand that there's bound to be hardware limitations. If a game gets too big, it starts operating poorly. I'm okay with this personally. Feel free to express your disgust by not buying it. That'll lead to changes.

I honestly think they’re just heading towards a monthly subscription service with battle pass type add ons as well as micro transactions and all of this is just the slow push to try and get people to accept it. I’ll be gone if that happens, but I’m getting kinda sick of the game anyway.
-
I think this is my last go around too, I actually like d1 better, everytime they put a new weapon in the game it ruins the balance.
-
Yeah my friend and I jumped on last night and we last about 2 games of crucible before we were just sick of the game for the night. It’s definitely worn out it’s welcome for me. The content from the last 12-24 months has just run its course and I don’t get excited at all anymore when I log on.

Forsaken was really good and Im starting to see it was only because they were so scared after losing the majority of their player base. Now its back to constant snake oil salesman tactics until, "Oh- we realize Eververse has kind of somehow taken over the game again and we will dial it back now". Im done with all of the reskins too.
-
The moment micro transactions let you purchase anything that affects gameplay, I’m leaving. Until then- they could literally add anything into Eververse and I wouldn’t give three flying -blam!-s.
-
You can purchase armor with perks that could surpass the set you're currently donning. I'd say that affects gameplay.
-
For 800 Bright Dust you get a randomly rolled legendary that drops at 10 light. Only upon sacrificing a higher light/equal rarity piece of gear does it gain any actual value. >dumbass thinking emoji This doesn’t impact gameplay even slightly. Especially considering the fact you have to sacrifice an item of equal power to even know what it’s perks are. If you’re willing to spend thousands of Bright Dust trying to get one damn roll out of the 100+ potential perks you can get- especially with how frequently legendaries drop on a general level, there’s something wrong with you. Secondly, “perks” aren’t going to be a thing anymore. Armor 2.0 only has 6 base stats (Intellect, Dis, etc.). Mods have replaced perks entirely.
-
It already has. Chaperone ornament.
-
Doubt it was intended, but sure. I don’t count that by my personal standards.
-
I like them too. People just need something to cry about these days.
-
Paying for content that is taken away 3 months later will piss players off.
-
You're comfortable with paying for content that will be removed at the end of each season?
-
They’re being transparent about it. Your choice whether you buy it or don’t. I respect and understand transparency about hardware limitations. There’s no objective upside monetarily to them making events limited to 3 months. I’m supporting them.
-
That transparency doesn't extend to the PS Store. Theres no mention of limited time content in the game description.
-
It doesn’t imply it isn’t, either. “Four Season Passes, each offering unique and exclusive activities and rewards.” If you want to go by technicality, Destiny 2’s TOS literally says they could remove any activity/item from the game at their own discretion. Upon agreeing to those ToS, you said you were okay with that.
-
How many players read the ToS? Honestly, Bungie should have made this crystal clear when they started preorders, not months later when Luke jumps out and shouts "Surprise".

What dont you understand?
-
But you have to pay for it ?
-
Let's use the annual pass as an example. You paid $30 and started playing the first season black armoury. The latest Bungie scam would see black armoury access blocked once Jokers Wild season started. By the time Season of opulence is underway players wouldn't be able to access black armoury or Jokers Wild, despite having paid for an annual pass.

They surely will stay right ?

You keep your rewards yes.
