I've been playing comp pretty solid over the last few weeks and man it is up and down. I've tried soloing and stacking as well, doesn't seem to make much difference overall. I've had winstreaks in solo and losing streaks in a team and vice versa.
Last week I managed to grind my way upto 1970, then this week I've managed to get my ass punted back to 1500.
Up and down.
The whole time I've had fun though, it's great seeing my skills get better and also soul crushing getting stomped by a 4 stack of striker titans wearing one eyes all rocking full pinnacle loadouts with guns that can shoot you around corners, while someone on your team quits at the mere prospect of facing such opponents ;)
From a medium players perspective, the main thing that hurts is the glory loss. It's f***n savage that you can lose weeks worth of progression when the odds are already stacked against you. I personally think you should just get glory from wins, but not lose anything on loss, or at least put a daily cap on that shit. Or maybe I could just get better, both viable options.
Sorry for the rant, have a good day.

1 RespuestaI wish I had this mentality. It hurts so bad losing so much to essentially RNG. It's not my fault I get put in heavily imbalanced teams, that's the game's fault, so why should I be punished? I honestly feel like my own personal skill doesn't matter. It doesn't make me feel like I should really strive to get better but just hope I get good RNG. I mean, I still do strive to get better. I keep going and improve all the time, but it doesn't seem to effect my Glory progression in the slightest, it's all RNG.

They need a floor for glory loss. When say you hit fabled, you can lose 20 games in a row, and still not drop below fabled. So as long as you keep improving, you will only climb. Still makes pinnacle weapons worth the effort, and still a challenge to acquire, but at the same time "comp" doesn't completely demotivate people from trying to earn them. I've read on here, and also spoke with randoms from LFG about getting recluse, and lots of people seem to hate the glory loss aspect. They go up to Heroic one session, and back down to Brave the next. If once you hit Brave, Heroic, etc. you could not de-rank lower than that then I think it would make pinnacles still a challenge for most, but more accessible at the same time.

1 RespuestaEspecially if you aren't steamrolling your way through the ranks, comp is an excellent way to force yourself to improve. Most players in this game don't want to put in any work to improve, you'll eventually surpass all of them

I’ve had some bad times in comp, but I can’t deny that the grind for Luna’s Howl shortly after Forsaken launch greatly improved my performance. I’m looking forward to jumping back into comp come Shadowkeep and the associated changes.

2 RespuestasI'll be grinding comp on Sunday. Can't get my glory score any lower.

So match there... 3 v 4 at start, then 2 v 4, 2 v 3 then they finally add another player in.... For 2 v 4 again. Bungie Fk you and your rětarded comp system

1 RespuestaI was at 2156, after a streak on solo queue wins, since then I've been on a horrible losing streak, with the odd boost win, really fed up with comp and actually don't see the point of it in the game. There's absolutely no reason why control and clash should be there, especially as half the time you're going 3 v 4 or worse. Anyone that leaves a match should get a 24hr ban straight away. As someone that's not once reached fabled, why the Fk do I keep getting matched with solo players running Not forgotten? Great Fkn matchmaking Bungle. If you're going to keep comp in, then light lvl advantages needs to be reinstated.

Nice, you'll get there. You have the right attitude for solo queue comp. You probably dont need any tips, but if you want any let me know. I can copy n paste.
