Armor 2.0 the element is very important. It determines what mods you can use. For example - to use any shotgun mod, the armor piece needs to be Arc.

still, who cares what element your armor is? you dont do more Arc Dmg with Arc Armor, all the element does is reduce a little bit of that element dmg while in super -> worthless i know what every element has their own mods -> still worthless because all i care is what mods i can apply, the element itself is just nothings to me

Congratulations. The entire topic of this thread went right past you. Nobody cares about arc, solar or void on their armor. The whole problem is, that Bungie are planning to make a bunch of the mods exclusive to either arc, or solar, or void armor pieces. It will be impossible to combine certain perks on the same item (even combinations we can currently have), because one of the perks can only roll on arc, while the other can only roll on solar or void. The problem is not "i have to farm and equip void armor to be able to use the perks i want" The problem is "i can not possibly use the perks i want in the two perk slots of my item, because their elements are different and therefore the usage of these perks is mutually exclusive for no good reason"

I like the new system overall, but we do have less choice in perk combinations then before. You could have 2 scavenger or 2 reserves now in armor 1.0 you can not with the new system. I like recuperation, I have to choose a Solar class item if I want that. I just wish they got rid of the affinity system.

2 scav perks ruins PvP so it's a pro for me

Haha, whatever dude. You just said you like people having 1 scavenger only in 1 post and now in another you are okay with them having 3 scavenger when shown how you can. Make up your mind!!! I have just meet the guy that has never lost an argument. No matter what you say he as an answer for it with no understanding what the question is or what was said.
