- Chaos Reach has very good DPS. Can be canclled to conserve energy. Regens quicker because of the subclass and does more damage to enemies which dont have a crit spot. Doesnt require an exotic to do this. - Golden gun by itself is average at best. It REQUIRES an exotic to be good. Yes, it does big damage if the enemy has a crit spot. That is the point. What is yours? The downsides are not having the above listed features and a lacklustre neutral game. - Nova Bomb has insanely good add clear and high boss damage. Need I say more? Why is this even a question? Nova bomb is extremely good and has a pretty good neutral game as well. (Overcharged scatter nades are the highest damage in the game BY FAR).

Chaos Reach needs an exotic to do noticable damage and it doesn’t even come close to Celestial. Do you think I will throw overcharged nades at a raid boss? And don’t forget Hunter nades on bottom Nighstalker can do some serious damage aswell. Idk what you meant by saying you can cancel Chaos Reach since I’m lossing boss damage by doing that.

Not every encounter is a straight up boss dps rush, you do know that right? If it is 100% a straight up nothing else matters except boss damage, yes, golden gun will be optimal THAT IS THE POINT OF THE SUPER. Encounters can be made in all sorts of ways. I dont see golden gun being useful on Crota's bridge. But Chaos Reach mightve been useful to kill a chunky major and then cancel it to preserve energy. It also regens its super really fast and no, doesnt need an exotic to do good damage, but that exotic is always an option. Overcharged scatter grenades are used in speedruns because they are one of THE best things in the game to use for burst damage lmao. You know absolutely nothing of what you speak of because you dont care to look at evidence or anything. You speak first and learn later. Again for the 2nd time. Not every encounter will be a straight up boss rush and if it is, bosses might be different. The dogs in Leviathan for example allow you to throw the grenade under their body to literally one-shot them, faster than any other weapon. And you can get them back really quickly to be used again. An easy example of an encounter dictating the gear would be Argos. Sleeper Simulant was never generally considered the best at DPS, it was good sure but not better than Whisper or DARCI during Warmind. However on Argos specifically you could bounce shots into crits and have a higher DPS than both of those weapons, making it the best. It has a use, doesnt mean its the best always or the best in general.

You do know that every boss has a crit spot and that makes the Golden Gun way better. Bottom tree itself isn’t even bad, because it charges fast and does more damage on precision HIT. Why waste a super on ad clear, you have weapons for that! There is more ad clear weapons, that boss damage weapons. It comes down to what you like, I want to use my super for boss damage!

No, not neccessarily, its true most bosses have been pretty simple but there example of those who dont have a crit, or need a shield to be taken down first etc. Bottom is tree is noticeably worse than other hunter options in its neutral game. Also, with guns such as the teased trace rifle that creates crit spots, its safe to guess that some enemies or bosses may not have crit spots and so one player might take up the spot in a raid to create said crit spot instead of DPSing. Its all about options, i have absolutely no problem with you wanting to use it for boss damage! You do you man and i hope u have fun. Doesnt mean other options wont be useful for other people in other encounrtes, such as the reason I adressed. No ones asking you to stop using celestial nighthawk, just to bring down Well a bit.

Finally we are getting one the same page. Bottom Golden Gun has not great but good neutral game with throwing knife recharge on precision kill and throwing knife grants a lot of super on kill. Precision hits with guns also grant super cooldown. I kinda like the synergy. Tbh I cannot think of a boss without a crit spot, if you can please tell me. I agree about the enemy having shield, but usually you break them before firing. And that is mostly it. Chaos Reach is more viable in more situation, but in a raid I would rather have a Golden Gun Celestial. I agree with some of the things you said and I think there is no need to argue anymore.
