What you just described was almost exactly how D2 PvP launched and it was pretty much hated by everyone.
Hence the "Go fast" update.
D2 launch pvp was so boring. It became a team shooting corridor camping nightmare.
While I am fine with new modes I seriously question why anyone would want to go back to that shit show.
Considering Supers and abilities are a core aspect of game play.
Especially since we have several FPS type games that already offer game play like this.
It would be like removing Power Pellets from Pac Man or Mushrooms from Mario.
I mean why wouldn't you just play Halo or CoD or literally anyother game currently available?
Just seems ass backwards.

I was just thinking, "I do believe we did this at some point. If I recall correctly, I had my Mida and Positive Outlook equipped for this playlist".
What you just described was almost exactly how D2 PvP launched and it was pretty much hated by everyone.
Yup, it was a monumental failure. The boobs around here have short memories.

Editado por Artisan: 8/11/2019 10:26:39 PMWas that all of PvP made like that or just one option amongst many gametypes? We have a whole load more weapons now to mix things up too. Somehow excessive team collusions and imbalances also need to be looked at too. Perhaps it even could be a solo only PvP activity until they start proper fireteam matching.

Go play Halo
-
Actually, good players enjoyed yr 1, then average casuals like you cried and ruined the game...
-
LOL. It's funny, because I considered it EASY mode for PvP. My K/D went through the roof. All you had to do was load up a meta load out, follow the team around and team shoot everything. Super easy. Problem was, it's very one dimensional, predictable and boring and hell. I lost interest in the game in a month.

Editado por pacificdune: 8/11/2019 10:28:07 PMThis is not true. I run an alliance of clans and recruited some of the best pvp players in the game for our top tier pvp clan. Almost all of them left, and none of them enjoyed D2 launch. After go fast some of them started to trickle back. Their most common complaint? No ability to make plays. No way to show off skills. Has the pendulum swung too far to supers and heavy? Probably yes. Do we want D2 Y1? Absolutely not. It would kill the franchise.
-
The "Hero Moments" argument that persisted for a while. Yea, I'm not sure what 'Ben' is talking about, people HATED that crap.
-
I personally talked to multiple very skilled players and friends who were leaving, I was their founder and did not want to see them go to overwatch. This is what they all told me.

I’m concerned for you were you hit upside the head honest question. Yr1 D2 was the worse thing that has or ever will happen to destiny. We went from 14 million strong at launch to barely 1 million. Numbers don’t lie. Destiny is in a much better place now.
-
Yeah no.. go back and look at D2 vinilla reviews a month after it was released. It's not hard to find. Actually do that first and maybe we can talk.
-
Editado por Cudd1eZombi3: 8/11/2019 2:45:51 PMWhat you are describing is actually prevalent now. Instead of teams shorting corridors you have people hard scope sniping corridors. It's the same thing, just it's one shot kills instead of scouts. If anything it's actually worse. The issue with vanilla destiny was the time to kill.
-
Reduced movement speed, double primaries, nerfed supers, nerfed abilities, 4v4 Which resulted in slow, boring team shooting snooze fests. Right now we have a good balance of what can be used. The only thing that under performs now are scouts and sidearms. The real issue you have it sounds like is TTK and not abilities per say. Sniper lanes?? Yeah man that's going to happen in any game with snipers. That's not due to supers or abilities or even power ammo. Remove those and snipers, shotguns and bows will be all you see. Remove those and it will be all team shooting scouts, autos or handcannons. It just snowballs into a -blam!- melee fests or jumping around like rabid monkeys using Rat King...
-
Which resulted in slow, boring team shooting snooze fests.
My feelings exactly. It was so dull.
-
Editado por Cudd1eZombi3: 8/11/2019 4:27:16 PMI already said ttk was the issue in y1. If this mode did come around you have the chose not to play it. Personally I would because then people actually have to play with skill and not reply on ridiculous aim assisted snipers and hand cannons. Or shotguns. Y1 wasn't people running around with rat king lol. It won't happen because too many people are sheep and must use the meta. That and most guns have been nerfed into the ground and therefore not viable. Not taking away from your experince. From what you described we have had different crucible experinces and that does change your opinion 😊
-
How long do you think you'd have to wait for a match tho?
-
Depending on the number of people who wanted to play either not long or a little while lol. I know plenty of people who would like this kind of mode though so I highly doubt you would have to wait long

I enjoyed year 1
