so far, there hasn't been a sidearm, shotgun, sword, rocket, or linear fusion pinnacle. I have a feeling we'll be seeing a sidearm, sword, and linear fusion. any thoughts?
[spoiler]personally I think a pinnacle weapon should be a strong and niche item, capable of enabling the player fulfill a specific purpose.
I think this batch of pinnacle weapons have been the most balanced. Wendigo is a very strong boss damage and add clear weapon, with many capabilities such as blinding and collecting orbs with a full super (works well with class item perks).
The revoker encourages aggressive sniping, and doesn't necessarily give a straight up advantage, but allows a unique playstyle.
pre-nerf Luna's and current recluse are weapons I believe to be too strong. no other weapon could compare with their power, and they had no downside to their perks. just my two cents, I'd appreciate feedback

5 RespuestasBring back Factions then have one pinnacle weapon for each faction. must wear compete faction armor to achieve quest steps. I'd like to see; a crucible fusion like the old Plan C a vanguard RL with grenades an horsehoes with two in the tube a gambit sword that blocks the stomp mechanic

8 RespuestasEditado por Seraphim Crypto: 8/10/2019 7:56:56 AMConsidering there have been two Grenade Launcher Pinnacle weapons (yes I am aware they aren't the same), I think it's not entirely out of reach to have another Pinnacle weapon of the same weapon type. Seeing as there still isn't a Vanguard Kinetic Slot Pinnacle, and no Crucible Heavy Slot Pinnacle, maybe they try to fill these spots. Lord Shaxx really likes Swords and has a lot of history with them, so it might make sense that the next Crucible Pinnacle is a Sword. Rocket Launcher might well here too, though, they are often used in Crucible. They probably have simple perks to help, like deflecting bullets when defending with the Sword. A Vanguard Kinetic... A Sidearm would make sense, to supplement either the Oxygen SR3 or Loaded Question. But... Sidearms are generally lame, and I don't know how you can make a Pinnacle out of them... maybe emphasize on weapon switching with high Handling/Quickdraw and a damage bonus when you switch to it after damaging the enemy with another weapon? Or let it shoot miniature rockets or something. Gambit Pinnacle, I believe it's going to be a Shotgun, probably Kinetic as well. The Drifter creates and uses simple weapons from the Dark Age. A Shotgun would fit this well enough, a simple, rough and powerful gun. Especially since the other Gambit Pinnacles are two Primary Ammo weapons, a Special Ammo weapon would be great. Perks, I'm thinking of a dream I had some time ago (unrelated to Destiny). I dreamt of a Shotgun with a low mag of 2, and a short range. However, if you hit a target and it doesn't die, the spent shell will regenerate until the target is dead or you shoot another target. That would allow you to use this effect against a maximum of two targets, then you'll have to reload. It would be a useful weapon against strong targets like Minibosses and HVTs. Tl;dr: Vanguard Kinetic Sidearm, Gambit Shotgun (probably Kinetic), Crucible Heavy, probably Sword.

2 RespuestasEditado por Taril: 8/10/2019 9:14:02 AMMy hopes are for: Vanguard Kinetic Slug Shotgun (With enough Range that you can stand outside of Boss Stomp radius and shoot their face). Maybe its perk is something along the lines of getting buffs from rapid Precision hits (Alongside Triple Tap or Fourth Time's The Charm) Crucible Energy Sidearm (So it competes with LoW/Recluse/Fusions). Sidearms can be a decent counter to Shotgun Apes, since their DPS can allow them to kill a sliding shotgunner before they can OHK you. Maybe its perk can play more into that? Sort of like a Threat Detector that enhances its damage or something. Gambit Sword (Hopefully cutting down on the Truth/MG spam). Could follow on from the momentum based perks that are found on Swords, letting you carve up enemies while gathering motes and then unleash massive damage against the Envoys/Primeval.

7 RespuestasI say NO MORE pinnacle weapons. Bring in weapon roll system from Destiny 1. The weapon system in D2 is bad. You have normal weapons that you can get with desent roll. And then there is what you call a pinnacle weapon that has the perfect roll that you actually should get on a normal legendary weapon but has perks that is not on the roll table. I say that is why we have exotics. The whole purpose of exotics is that they have rolls you cant get on a legendary. Now we have legendary prerolled weapons that out roll exotics. Then I ask you why do we even have exotics when there are legendary prerolled special perk weapon that are way better then an exotic. That deffy the whole purpose with exotic. Get ridd of pinnacle weapons. Exotics are there for that reason.

1 RespuestaMy god is there is a crucible shotgun it’ll be broken because it has to contend with so many other shotguns or just be a better legendary chaperone

1 RespuestaThe Vanguard weapon will be a sword with auto loading holster. The Crucible weapon will be a sidearm that causes the enemy to turn 180 if you land two precision shots and a body shot on them. The Gambit weapon will be a rocket launcher with tracking, tripods, and proxy det. You’ve been warned.

I'd like to see a 720 auto rifle from the vanguard or a RL

5 RespuestasI want a Vanguard pinnacle hand cannon that’s 180 RPM. I don’t want pinnacle hand cannons restricted to crucible progression only.

Editado por Gravezero: 8/11/2019 1:59:10 AMCrucible sidearm. Vangaurd rocket. Gambit shotgun. Atleast that's what I want. But what if... for some reason... they added pinnacle armor sets instead!

1 RespuestaThere’s been 2 GLs. So we do not necessarily have to get one of each before seeing dupes.
-
As long as they don’t make the PvP one melt in PvE. That kind of annoys me, especially when I’m sitting here with my Vanguard weapons that aren’t as good at killing things as the PvP ones...
-
For gambit I thought up a shotgun lol Trusty spas-12 design, aggressive frame with 5 in the chamber, kinetic, packing incendiary rounds. It would have really good range but for crucible it would take like 2 good shots at chap range to kill, and within 5 or less feet it would be a one shot. It would be more around killing open world ads as the rounds would just rip and tear apart majors and minors and be solid for boss damage but not enough to be too strong. It would defiantly be a range masterwork with feeding frenzy, but it would be a slow draw speed and movement speed. Just to give an idea how beefy the gun is.

11 RespuestasJust bare with me for a sec pinnacle AR;)

I think maybe, they may add a pinnacle weapon for menagerie in Shadowkeep, which I think would be cool. Plus, it fits with Calus wanting us to grow fat from strength

1 RespuestaIsn’t wishbringer a pinnacle from the same season as claymore

A pinnacle shotgun would be nice. Curious to see what a pinnacle sword would have that makes it special. I would love to see a pinnacle linear fusion for PvP, but that’s probably me saying that because I’m about to give up hunting for a PvP Crooked Fang.
-
I hope the crucible one is a rocket launcher, we need more legendary heavies that are good for crucible.
-
A pinnacle LFR should be a gambit weapon lol...
