Crucible is baaaaad
Can we just all agree that the crucible is shit... period. 90 % of deaths are to one shot weapons and supers. Weapon imbalance is awful including pinnacle weapons and to all you people who just say “get good” to everyone that criticizes the meta, use your brain.. do you think it’s fair to give a handicap to players who are already better, making it even more unbalanced for less skilled players?? If you answered yes to that, then I’m afraid your suffering from idiocy

I played online games with some sort of pvp components for almost 20 years now and iv'e seen it all, but what i see in the crucible is sometimes out of this world. Headshots from across the whole map with two walls in between, teleporting players, grenade cartridges wich chased me around three corners ( those really wanted me it seems ) and the obvious abuse of upload regulating tools. What infuriates me is the clear unbalance of weapons and classes. We all know bottom striker so i wont go into it and it but weapons ? A pulse rifle shouldnt outperform a sniper, scout or a bow when it comes to range. Shotguns should give a malus to resilence when equipped so aping wouldnt happen as much and balance passes should be way more often. Im working on my 5th resett now this season and every time i see an arc titan wearing a certain mask a wanna puke.

I had a 1.6 KD then last couple of days I’ve been matched up against the sweatiest stacks ever. I sooo cue 99% of the time. I think I’m 16 losses and 3 wins in the last 19 quick play games. Bungie’s match making is pure tripe. I remember them saying they wanted a 50/50 ratio..... This is not working as intended.

My favorite is when people have to use a "meta" (which is already stupid to have) and then they try to brag that they're good LMFAO! Being good would be using any weapon and still winning... Not using ones which already guarantee a win lol

I don't necessarily think it's trash I just think that having most (didn't say all) quests force you to play it is trash. That's what makes people hate it. Not just force you to play it but then force how you play it. It's not the players' fault. I used to LOVE PvP even being a filthy casual. Not so much anymore.

Matching up against opponents that are clearly sweaty and the system is supposed to balance out, my fat hairy a r s e does it. So unbalanced it's disgusting. Let alone the complete in balance of weapons and supers. If you don't play the meta then don't bother.

7 RespuestasTo me this a mistaken view of the issues. None of the pinnacle weapons will turn bad players into good players. Good players will always out-gun bad players whatever their weapon (you should check ZKMushroom YT to see it in effect). One-shot weapons that require a modicum of skill should be allowed and promoted like snipers. Weapons that require a minimum of recoil control should have an edge over very easy to use weapons like Bygones - you complain about pinnacle weapons while the number one weapon I the Crucible is Bygones or Outbreak. I keep on seeing them everywhere and they are so easy to use - to please the masses. Pinnacle weapons do require skills. Try to use the Recluse effectively and then come back to talk. The Crucible is littered with problems - matchmaking, connections, bad game modes, bad quests, lack of viable options that reward gunplay, bad maps not designed for 6/6 - but pinnacle weapons aren’t an issue. Jotunn is. Fusion rifles are. Your criticism of the Crucible is misguided. As I said good players will always play better no matter which weapons they use.

I have absolutely no reason to go in unless i have some quest or for my weeklies. They throw 12 people into maps designed for 4v4 so it turns into a cluster%@#$ fast, as soon as supers starts going off the match goes out the window, sometimes it would feel like mayhem weeks. couple it with plain terrible spawns, over used one shot specials % beyond broken abilities, and absolutely garbage p2p connections. We dont even got brackets on comp its ridiculous, if they are not gonna give it the support it needs what is the point then? Not to mention the inclusion of obnoxious pinnacle weapon/meta load outs. They have had 5 years on this thing and we figure by now they'd have balanced it, but nope, same all frustrations. It will never be balanced. How it is set up is annoying, is stressful, and it is absolutely not fun.

That's is why only a small percentage of people play the hot pile of nasty stinking pile of dog shit called PVP regularly.

11 RespuestasBungie needs to go back to D1 pvp settings or something similar such as: No special on spawning into a match or respawning, only way to obtain special would be special ammo crates that would spawn every 30 to 45 seconds. Heavy ammo spawn needs to be reduced to twice per match. Not only would these changes balance shit out more but also screw over the players that like to shotgun or fusion hog the whole match as well as snipers who just sit back doing nothing. When it comes to weapons balance my idea is this: Shotguns and fusion need a range nerf of at least 8% or 12% Snipers are ok in my book Handcannon 110-150 are ok a slight range nerf may he needed but that's all 180 rpm however need a slight Dmg reduction as they dominate easily and make the others near to useless Scout rifle need a dmg buff on both ends as well as a range buff to help them compete more Pulse rifle need a slight range nerf other than that they are ok Auto rifles (360-600 rpm) need a slight dmg buff but a range nerf SMGs are again ok Side arms may need a slight increase in dmg as they are rarely used from my experience Finally heavies like wardcliff and Truth need to be reduced to 1 round per heavy pick up

It's about time that Bungie outsource pvp aspect of game to someone else as they have no idea how to make games where players can shoot players. 5 years have proven me right.

You are totally right. Im just hoping they had a sit down roundtable where they said to each other that from Shadowkeep forward pvp cant be working like this. It can seriously be one of the most ridiculous things in videogame history ever when it starts working really bad. Sometimes I feel like im consciously making a decision to walk into a burning building. But I will never stop playing it.

Ehhhh, I played a game the other day for shits and giggles, and I did just fine. My only deaths came from a window licking shotgun ape, so that says a hole lot about the skill ceiling in PvP.

7 RespuestasCrucible is honestly in one of the best places it’s been, aside from the frequency of supers. There’s just a couple outliers that make some lobbies less than enjoyable, but overall crucible is fun again. Bring down the supers to two supers if you spec to it, and one if you don’t, and I’ll be entirely happy.
