Please never do something like the Solstice again.
Cause that was horrific. By far the worst thing ever. Not a good way to celebrate at all.
Who ever is in charge of doing stuff like gambit, and all these rehashed versions of escolation protocol. Please take them off the team. I'm so sick of these. It's really not an update nor content. It's the same bullshit in a different setting.
I'd much rather you guys spend your time working on new story missions, new planets to explore, new pvp maps, new content for strikes or alt versions of strikes that take you down a different path and are not just flipped backwards like you slackers done in D1.
People that play destiny love strikes, pvp, raids and planets. We don't care about waves of enemies. How does that help the progression of the story? How is it content when you put us in what, 10 or so "content" updates where we are confined to a small space and just fight waves of enemies.. Really, what -blam!- is that? It's so amateur at this point.
There is a thousand employees at bungie studios. You guys have to have better ideas than this garbage. For a celebration, it would of been cool to have a beach setting to go to, to compete in summer style games, or do 2 maps that are similar to a tony hawk game where we can hang out and do tricks on our mini sparrow or race each other. The list is endless on what you guys could of done.
I like the floating city. But that was way over the top to kill 100 mini bosses. It ruined what it was for me. I won't touch it no more. -blam!- that. It shouldn't of gone on mini bosses you killed either. It should of been mini bosses you and your fire team killed total.
Please, add some pvp content to the game in the next dlc. You guys have an extra month to work on it. I know you guys been working on some pvp stuff. So, please, give us something new and none of this collecting 5000000 orbs and killing 500000 enemies and then doing patrols that nobody ever does cause they are designed super bad and not fun at all. Please don't make us hold down points either. The boss battles on the floating city were fun. I want to see more of that just patrolling planets. But no more waves after waves of shit.
Play your own game before you have us test it out for you. 5 years in, I still feel like you are not listening to what the fan base enjoys playing in this game.

Here's a summary of my amazing solstice experience so far. 1. "Oooh i need solstice mini boss kills and treasure chests open at the end so might as well do it in one full eaz run" Runs in with 2 people in a fireteam that only kills minibosses and leaves you to kill a horde of powerful enemies by yourself and have to spend an extra 15 minutes soloing it to get the 9 chests. 2. AFK people that wants a silver platter handed to them without doing shit are scum. Specially the ones that impede your progress and directly impacting other people's gameplay experience. FORGES are fine because it matches you with lower light people that does the same thing because the activity is recommended at 600 power. If you do AFK in EAZ, you're a piece of shit human being.

Haven't played in a while as it seems mostly everything is out of reach (not a ton of game time). I know some people do everything in 5 minutes cuz they're awesome but that just reinforces that feeling that I must be such garbage I shouldn't even try.

2 RespuestasI did all 3 sets first week(i know i burnt it), and the one thing i cannot forgive is the 300 mini bosses. Fortunately i happen to like Gambit and all the pvp kills were done in those matches. But yeah, i agree it is a heavy grind. I suggest people do it one set per week or something.

It just is NOT fun on any level. There is ZERO reason to play this: it isn't fun, you get lousy looking rewards that will be obsolete in weeks. Why don't more people find this more insulting. It's like telling someone to go dig in sand and you better have fun doing it??!! Lame, this game needs new leadership. It's just the same old stuff over and over and over.

My titan looks epic and it was crap I already did so it was easy anyway. Gambit was the only pain getting idiots who didnt wanna play just went afk the whole dam time.

10 RespuestasFor a celebration, it would've been nice to actually be celebrated... Eva occasionally makes a comment that it's "only right for us to give back." What exactly are you giving to me? More work to do? If you're going to hand me a grind to do to get an armor set or w/e, that's fine, I'm down for that. But FFS don't call that a "celebration." Where are the parades in honor of Guardians? Are they down in the city where I can't see them? What about people partying? Anything? It's just, the absolute bare minimum. Here's a cool statue and some decorations, now get back to work. Maybe put some actual effort into making it feel like a celebration next time...

The EAZ part miniboss kills is just dumb AF and goes completely against any kind of team work in a team based game. This grind wouldn't be so horrible if we got armor with every perk available on them for us to choose. Just imagine how fun it would be to be rewarded with armor we can tailor to any kind of build and weapon loadout we want. But no, the rolls are completely RNG again

The grind not hard just boring as shizz ! They should have made it less monotonous ! Eg 100 mini boss could be shorten say if you kill 10 plus the boss you get bonus progression things like that !

You just said it, Destiny Bungie has just been flip it in the other direction slackers since Y1. We're going to be going into Y6 pretty soon and they're still doing the same thing. Why should we expect any different? I don't, they aren't getting my money anymore.

7 RespuestasI’ve heard it’s pretty grindy. I haven’t been able to play much due to work. I was on once to check out the lumina quest and was immediately discouraged at the 30 Escalation protocol completion thing for rose. I’m down for a grind but I want it to be content that’s relevant. D2 has definitely gotten more busy work from what I’ve seen. I love a good grind that’s part of Destiny, what I don’t like is having to play old content that has no other reason to be played.

To top it all off you have to pay eververse for the Armour glows too I’ve been mostly fine with eververse this season when it comes to items ,At first I was pissed to see a “Best of Year 1” engram but I’m kinda glad it came through as now I’ve been stockpiling bright dust from it ,so each week I’ve been selectively what little gear in the Opulence Lootpool for the shop I like ,I kinda felt like that’s what Bungie wanted out of it But Solstice was a joke ,no engram ,ridiculous chores (not grind ,chores Bungie) and glows locked behind Silver and shit loads of bright dust ,so we are practically drained for Shadowkeep People the glows may look cool but they’re not worth the dust ,Most if you will not touch this Armour again when Shadowkeep is here so please save your materials

Nearly every required activity is dealing with some kind of issue that relates to the above mentioned. I don’t understand how this far into the series they STILL don’t seem to have any idea on how to properly implement pursuits within their own game model in a way that doesn’t disincentivize winning or that doesn’t encourage griefing behaviors. Or perhaps they simply don’t care? And I’ve lost all hope that they’ll ever understand how and why many people play video games in the first place. This cool universe and story will continue to suffer for it’s unnecessary rigidity.

2 RespuestasThe solstice event has been the most wonderful beautiful event in my life. Helmet: I had to Complete bounties, open chests in the European Aerial Zone, defeat enemies with Arc weapons. What a fun experience especially the looking for chests part. I mean running into walls hitting dead ends dealing with the timer. What a great experience I never had so much fun in all my life. Gauntlets: Complete Heroic Public Events I mean who doesn’t love this one and I got particularly excited every time someone messed up the heroic trigger. It really enhanced the experience. Collecting Arc orbs in Strikes, and defeating Cabal using a subclass that matches the daily elemental bonus was so easy it was almost boring Chest: Complete Gambit matches This was great I mean who doesn’t love Gambit!! Then collecting Elemental Orbs using a subclass that matches the daily elemental bonus, that was really fun. I especially loved running around grabbing the orbs before they magically disappeared. Now I know how my dog feels when she is chasing a lase pointer!! And last but not least defeat enemies with Void grenades. Man how cool was that watching enemies explode and bounce in the air. I was laughing hysterically Boots: Complete Challenges, defeat enemies in Strikes using a subclass that matches the daily elemental bonus as a team These two items were so easy that I actually did it using 1 hand. Then killing enemy Guardians in Gambit and Crucible with Void weapons now that was fun especially jumping off the ledge and spamming emotes while other teammates carried me, boy what a hoot. Cloak: Complete Patrols in the EDZ I mean who doesn’t love doing patrols especially the surveys Then , collecting Elemental Orbs in the European Aerial Zone. Again, I especially loved running around grabbing the orbs before they magically disappeared. But last and not least defeating mini-bosses in the European Aerial Zone. This was by far my most favorite event of all time in the history of D2. I mean who doesn’t love killing Mini-Bosses.
