Yet again we have a flawed system that promotes and encourages players to either go AFK for simple completions or leave the moment they have the completion done. Something needs to be done to fix this. For example: did 5 strikes in a row that I was the only person on the strike boss after players left, most likely bc they collected their blue set specific orb set. Multiple other scenarios range from miniboss kills to gambit AFK. Brutal

If they force people to play modes they hate, they will afk.

13 RespuestasWhat does the activity really offer? IMO, sure it's fun a couple of times running it, but I found out real quick chasing loot chest that doesn't offer anything that creates an incentive to want to acquire them? I don't blame them for saying, thanks for nothing Bungie. Now I get where you are at with this because you want to spend your time in the activity and there is nothing wrong with this at all. Maybe, just maybe Bungie should learn after 5 years to offer things that are an actual incentive to want to run repetitive content. This way most would want to run the activity that would lighten up the load of AFK?
-
Well, this is what happens when Bungie listens to blind fanboys that praise them relentlessly for having a hardcore grind for COSMETICS and MINIMAL GAINS/PROGRESS and take the players that aren't commenting as acceptance of their procedures. Those that take issue with it are left in the minority and we get stuck with shitty "events" that have cosmetics locked behind a heavy grinds or paywalls with no real fun to be had with said events, all to keep player counts high and keep their investors happy. Bungie is going to have to do a lot to prove to anyone, other than their fanboys, that it was supposedly "All Activisions Fault" with Shadowkeep.

Anytime theres a quest part for completions it’ll encourage people to AFK, most Destiny players are selfish and want everything handed to them regardless. The only why to stop AFKers is to change completions to killing enemies in said activities. The problem with this though is that the hyper aggressive players with kill them before you and it’ll take the others ages or players are playing for fun but are still killing enemies in which its makes it take longer for those that haven’t done it.
-
34 Respuestasso how is it the quest promotes it? are afk and leaving one of the steps? people do it by choice, they are selfish garbage. not because of a quest step.

56 RespuestasThere is a fix, play with your friends in this social game.

1 RespuestaEditado por TRAGEDY 757: 8/8/2019 12:01:36 AMI’ve seen people in gambit invading just to die to make the match end faster also. Instead of letting someone else invade and wipe the whole team smh.
-
That’s what happens when bungie tries to force a garbage gamemode down everyone’s throats Cough gambit cough
-
all they need to do is let the mini boss kills count for the team and not just you. make it choice of a game mode so people will play what they want. and anything where gambit is required is always a pain very small percent of people like gambit most I talk to are only there for bounties or a quest step.
-
4 RespuestasYup. AFK in Gambit and AFK in Crucible. Maybe if the grind was lower and/or the gear was actually worth it, people wouldn't AFK. Sadly Bungie doesn't get that.
-
2 RespuestasTrying to get the Redrix which requires Valor score I reckon that 80 % of the 70 games i played on the weekend my team was left with 5 players or less. Oddly the other side it only happened a couple of tomes. Needless to say lost way more than won. Valor score creeped.

I understand why people don't like to play Invader!™ I'm not a big fan of it myself, but I will occasionally play if there is something I want out of it. I also believe that it is BS for Bungie to force game modes on everyone to accomplish a task, whether it be the Solstice armor, or a badge (looking at you, 2019 in Roman numerals). But if I have to play it to get what I want, I'm going to try to win. Last night while playing Invader!™ I had an afker on my team, and it sucked. It's nearly impossible to win in that mode when you are short one man. If you are willing to afk in any game mode you queued up for, you are making the experience that more miserable for everyone else, which makes you selfish and pathetic.

5 RespuestasJust came here to post that - the mini boss 100 kills is just terrible. Everyone leaves after this is done. Unless get a bullet on it doesn't count and they spawn in all 4 corners of the map. Just not sure who thinks of these things. Would of been fun to do on all 3 characters but then ran into this and am done.
-
My biggest gripe is the gambit part rubber banding everywhere on a side note ty to everyone leaving after eaz minibosses me and my buddy got our chests done instantly thx to you we kept spawning I to the boss and chests
-
To fix it they should have a chest you have to open at the end of every mission for your progress to count.

Editado por Risky: 8/6/2019 5:43:40 PMEncourages is a bad word. Rewards would be more accurate. Bungie doesn't tell players to go AFK. Bad actors decide to go AFK. bad actors will decide to go AFK even if the amount is reduced. Bungie has poor AFK deterrence measures that let AFKs claim the reward.
-
Must really say I reached the point to afk. Not doing that, because I hate it when I have players like that in my team.
but understand why it happens
-
3 RespuestasThe EAZ mini boss number needs to be reduced for sure I'm almost at 50 and over it. What's killing me is spawing in to matches that are over or spawning into matches that people have left after getting their mini boss kills I do hope they do something even if they don't reduce it make it you have to finish the match to get you count for mini boss kills. Because it's just sucks for everyone.
-
13 RespuestasHaha. Bungie did it again. Made another activity without having the foresight to predict people would drop out.
-
16 Respuestas:::shrugs::: You all kept screaming for more grind. Bungie listened. Now all Destiny is is one long boring repetitive chore of a dull mindless slogfest. Congrats. Destiny is "hardcore" to the extreme. And it's only gonna get worse. So get in there and deal with it. You wanted a grind, here it is.
-
18 RespuestasDon't blame the players, blame the game and the stupid requirements. Obviously a test run for the "more grindy hardcore MMO elements" coming to Destiny. As usual, good show Bungie. Ride that Activision scapegoat train as far as possible.
-
I AFK’d gambit today. Watched a movie instead. Win or lose, it always takes around 20 minutes. So why not lose? I wouldn have done so if i were on my hunter, but i just play like a bag of bricks as a warlock or titan in gambit. It was just the fatigue of having played already so much gambit. I just couldnt handle that shit anymore, man
-
12 RespuestasThat blame should be placed on players, not the game. You dont get benefits/rewards from leaving or going afk, so the game doesnt encourage it, it's players choosing to do that on their own.

1 RespuestaI think that Gambit is especially problematic. While I happen to like it (though I get more triggered by Invaders than I should), I know many people don't. Having to grind three hours in a mode you don't like, without alternatives (strikes, Crucible, forges, even menagerie) seems... unpleasant. Something I observed was that it was hard to stay in the game for the boss fight. I gained absolutely nothing from it, aside from wasting time that I could have spent by reloading the EAZ and killing more minibosses. No, I didn't do it every time... but I didn't stay in every time, either.
